So far, my LoopPay card has worked everywhere except at a military exchange (but that might have been because they were using an ancient POS system.)

I wonder if the LoopPay card has a better transmitter than the FOB, so the virtual swipe can go over a longer distance?

Did you try a Target. Store Mgr led me to believe it will when they update terminal or software.

As we enter 2015.credit card companies will be replacing credit cards with chip embedded cards and new terminals that have NFC. So more stores will except ApplePay

To a degree. Many terminals will just accept the chip as it's slid into the reader. Not all will have NFC.

Most of EMV readers I've seen also support Contactless, but large retailers either turn it off because they are part of MCX, or the software hasn't been pushed to turn it on, or the Merchant is waiting to turn it on for some other reason. @AppleFanatic10 Does iHop have the correct pos to support Contactless paymentd, or I bet its one of those integrated ones with only a magstripe reader. So it should work if they have the correct one, if not, then it won't.

Would be nice to get more AP stores here. If not LoopPay will be used. It will be interesting to watch Google/Softcard, LoopPay and Apple Pay deveope.

I'll post on it. Maybe a new store will have contactless.

I saw the Equinox L5300(Same as Walgreens) but in Black in a picture from their Facebook page (https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd...._=1435055390_8b5fc72f500f8742b21bc4527f65b490) without the Contactless antenna: https://www.tasq.com/wp-content/uploads/Equinox-L5300-Image.jpg this model. So its a no unless they add the nfc antennas, or they are now using MX915 or MX925's in their new stores.

Why do those stores look like blatant copies of Sprouts?

Sprouts do have Apple Pay though ;)

They are opening one right across from a new Costco.

As busy as that Fresh Thyme looked, I may wait a few weeks to go there. :)

Another very fast and successful purchase at Firehouse Subs with AP. It is a new location and their terminals look state-of-the-art. Kinda like a computer screen.

Yup they use Verifone MX925: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38348368/1213141516a.jpg just like what Panera Bread and Target use. The first time I visited Firehouse Subs they didn't have the MX925, but the 2nd time I went they did and it worked so well! They only added the MX925, then had to add the rfid driver and kept their same pos, hopefully more chains will do the same! Also this actually works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Lq83Gwzfn4 you can read the Contactless EMV card from Apple Pay while using an Android phone like that.

Kum & Go is an MCX member so they turned it off for Currentc(Which is going to be crap). It used to work before October 31st, 2014, because I had used Google Wallet since April of 2014 with no issues until that day. I added them to not accepting Contactless payment for that reason. So I stopped going to Kum & Go and now other gas stations are getting my business, losers. :p

Thanks for clearing that up.

I can't wait till MCX dies. What a bloody nuisance.

Just came back from a dermatology office and paid my Co-Pay with Apple Pay. Saw the new terminal with PIN pad so I had at it.

It really is growing a lot faster than you think.

Finally got to use AP at Dorothy Lane Market. My 3rd AP transaction.

Does everyone get immediate notifications from their bank on the purchase and while still at the terminal. Fifth Third does. Only asking bc I thought early on some were saying they didn't get any notification from their bank.

But, interesting article on Samsung/LoopPay--Google/Softcard--Apple Pay

Question is where do you see this in 3 years in relationship to Apple Pay. I have found my LoopPay FOB very convenient on my keychain. With the longer lanyard it is not cumbersome. Just hold and click. Not secure like AP tokens. I use mobile-pocket to store loyalty cards.

Yeah most card machines being shipped today have EMV and NFC built in, so any places that get new card machines will most likely have support for Contactless payments. So there will be growth for people wanting to pay using their phones at local businesses, even if chains refuse adopt Contactless payments.

I have a strong feeling Target will accept it soon enough once CurrentC Lets up on restrictions. They already are in bed with Apple for most other things including handhelds that are iPods and price scanners that are iPads.

Walmart and Best Buy? Who knows? The rest? Most have NFC with new terminals and I'm happy with that. It may be a first world problem but I am having trouble finding places to use my LoopPay now that more and more places I can just use Apple Pay

It may be you are fortunate to be in a larger metro area. I still am limited on AP, or just don't use the stores here that accept it. Use LP 90% of the time so far. Hope that changes--:)

Target CVS Sams Walmart Krogers are big ones for us--

I know someone who works at Best Buy and there manager said come June that Google Wallet(So Apple Pay would too?) would work there and that they are getting new pos system, which I figured was for EMV. Now I doubt they will actually support NFC since they are very for currentc, but you never know. "In the ensuing weeks, CEO Dekkers Davidson made the surprising statement that MCX is technology-agnostic and could work alongside Apple Pay in its partner stores." http://www.mobilepaymentstoday.com/articles/as-mobile-wallet-market-matures-mcx-sits-on-the-bench/
