Almost thought CVS changed sides. Saw they had new terminals for contactless payment and held iPhone up. Apple Pay came up and asked if I wanted to pay with Touch ID. It proceeded and said Done. But, transaction did not go thru.

Didn't think it would go that far--
They will probably turn it back on at a later time, especially since they are still installing ones with Contactless, and with Best Buy probably joining Contactless with a new pos system, that shows that Currentc is probably toast. :) :D

Don't forget that the company behind CurrentC's tech just got bought out by PayPal, makes the future of CurrentC very uncertain.

Albertson's supermarket in Los Angeles worked with Apple Pay today

I noticed my local Albertson's supermarket near Hollywood got new pay terminals a few days back.

Today, without asking the cashier about Apple Pay support and getting a confused look, I just waited till the machine said "Swipe Card" and then held my phone up. The Apple Pay animation activated, I got the Done prompt, and to my surprise (and hers), the cashier said the payment went through and gave me my receipt.

This is going to expand my Apple Pay universe considerably... Can't wait to do it with the Apple Watch...

Swipe Card is going to be a mere metaphor once everyone starts using their phone.

Like Google destroying Isis/Softcard, I hope Paypal does the same to the CurrentC bullsh...

Things will be so much easier if everyone just turns their NFC terminals on and accept Apple Pay, Google Wallet or NFC equivalent of Paypal or whomever.

This is only good news, Big Lots finally turned on their disabled NFC, and same with my local Cold Stone. Looks like all the disabled NFC readers are finally coming online!

I have been using Google Wallet at Big Lots since like December and it has worked every time. I was like they have the MX915, which comes with it by default, so it might work and it did to my surprise. But they needed to replace their pos system as it was quite buggy. Big Lots just recently replaced their entire pos system, which made everything work so much better including contactless as well. So I'm guessing that Apple Pay works at Big Lots now too? Also Cold Stone Creamery has customer facing equipment? I saw one on the Paypass locator, so its good to know at least some do.

It isn't customer facing but you just ask and they hold the whole terminal up.

Subway in NYC does not support ApplePay anymore not Times sq, not chelsea and not harlem. I stopped going to Subway since that was the main reason I started to eat there at all. I checked every place from wv all the way up to Harlem to double check if I had it wrong since others stated they were using apple pay at other subway locations around the country.

Maybe there was a hiccup with the system? Try it again and see.

Well I just went to a different Big Lots than I usually go to and they had the NFC turned off now, as Google Wallet did nothing now at all, I was quite disappointed about that. :( But Jersey Mike's Subs did work, although it said nothing on the screen but I saw the first green light as they use ISC 250, so I tapped and it worked perfectly! The employees had no idea about them even supporting Contactless, but hey it worked, so its all good. Also I spotted a MX915 at Wal-Mart https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38348368/0327152009a.jpg but only one, as all manned registers were all MX860 with EMV while self-checkouts where all Ingenico ISC 250, wtf is Wal-Mart thinking?

Where is this Walmart located? All of the ones I have seen use the Ingenico isc250s.

The Subway's around here have not been working either.
I went to a local Subway and it looked like Contactless would work and I asked the cashier if they was having pos issues and they aren't, but had heard some Subways were having such issues. The VX820 is still customer facing of course. EDIT: It still works here.

8700 Andermatt Dr Lincoln, NE 68526, it was only one, as the rest were MX860's for manned and ISC250 for self-checkout only. Which well really is confusing.

I noticed the trader joe's near me (in Westchester, CA by LAX) had new Verifone terminals installed, though am not sure if NFC was turned on (I'm guessing not). Would be great to have it at Trader Joes, as I shop there frequently for groceries; Safeway is also another major grocery store I frequent that lacks NFC support.

Not National, but while on vacation Stauffer's at Kissel Hill Lancaster PA took Apple Pay. Not sure a single store needs added to OP though.

Apple Pay debit is working at Save Mart now, and bigger news, Apple Pay MasterCard is working at the Jack In The Box drive thru! VISA still says "Could not complete payment!" but MasterCard on iOS 8.3 beta is working and surprised me and the employee as she had not seen it work either. Very exciting news!

They started removing them around my parts because none of them ever worked even with normal cards.

Hope they just get PIN pads and call it a day.

I used it at Office Depot recently. But here's the kicker: I had to sign on that little screen. Yeah, after using Apple Pay. WTF, Office Depot? It was like $30 in office supplies.

I wonder what baseball stadiums are using Apple Pay this year. I work at Yankee Stadium but didn't notice any mention of it. We did get new credit card machines though. But I'm not sure if it supports contact less pay.

The Nike Factory stores are the same, the cashier told me that people have to sign for credit even if your just buying shoe laces, which totally defeats the purpose of Apple Pay/contactless.

Well if you don't swipe the card on an intergrated pos system, then there is a high chance that it has Contactless support built into a card machine/terminal/pinpad, but if it doesn't have any of those, then they probably don't support it. Although some Merchant facing ones like the VX520 http://www.moneris.com/help/520_webhelp/520_Small.jpg with those four lights does support Contactless by default.

I'm hoping this is some corporate policy made by someone a million miles away from the POS systems who has been in hibernation for the past five years. You know, kind of like the digital privacy laws we have that were made before you could pretty much do everything on a phone or tablet. At least then it's something that could be changed by the company making a new rule to not allow signatures on contactless payments verified with my freaking fingerprint verified.

Signatures have never been secure unless some handwriting expert looks at them versus the card. That has never happened online, and rarely does anybody -- let alone an expert -- look at signatures now. If these retailers continue this much longer, they're going to start getting laughed at when the Galaxy users get on the ship later this year with Samsung Pay.

I sent two emails to CVS on Apple Pay and today they have it at CVS Fairborn, Ohio. Will add to OP--:)
