Oh nice, old school Marathon.

Do you have anymore Marathon desktops? Or did you get that from a site?

Whilst I'm here I will answer you first Question, that icon is the project gallery launcher. Its that anoying thing that pops up when you first open any microsoft office program, of course I've disabled on mine.
I used to think it was annoying, until I started using it from my dock (and actually using the Projects feature as well). Basically, it allows you to open a new file of any kind from one window, as well as let you open the files you've used recently. I don't like having my dock absolutely huge, so that's why I switched over.

And in case you're wondering where the program is in the first place, go to the Microsoft Office 2004:Office folder. It's the Project Gallery Launcher program.

Had this one for a while. Was considering buying one to. Decided on A Celica GT4 St-185 (All-trac) instead.

I have two questions.

One, looking at some of the desktops, I see the MS Office logo in the dock. Is this a way to access all the Office programs but just have one icon? It can't be a folder because that would be put on the right side of the divider. I would love to be able to have quick access to all the office programs but not have 4 icons in the dock. So what is it?
It is just what you want, a quick access to all Office programs. It's called Project Gallery Launcher and is located in Microsoft Office/Office/ along with much junk...

Hey, what's that thing you've got running at the bottom of your screen? I googled for something like it, and looked around, but can't find the name of it.
That's Panic's "Stattoo."

I also endorse the previous request for large/high-res Scarlett Johansson pictures. What a looker that woman is.

This is my first post on these forums. I hope to switch sometime soon. In the meantime, I'll have to make do with this... :D And yes, this is a XP machine. I can give you a screenie of the CP to prove it. Still wish it was a mac though :( .

I'll give it a go. Head over here

You could use Flyakite Software, 1 clean installation, even makes the start up chime and login screen like mac os x. Install stardock, move the task bar on top of the screen and it looks like mac os x, and its free.

Click here for flyakite - Click here

I've used this on my windows xp screen.

If you want to uninstall this is it easy? I mean does it go straight back to normal xp?

It comes with an uninstall program, so I assume it will be easy to uninstall, the software itself is very good and leaves my system running very smoothly, had no problems with it so far and have been using it for about a month. Stardock is very good as well. the best thing about these programs
1) no spyware etc...
2) they are free
3) do not conflict with other programs

In terms of going back to the original styling of windows xp, you can go to the control panel>display>appearance and just change the styling to windows xp default and it reverts back on my system anyway.

So this is just an extra theme, it doesn't change system files?

As it says on their website:

The installer simply automates the process of replacing critical system files, setting registry tweaks, and installing extras such as cursors, sounds, visual styles, etc. In case you are not happy with the results of FlyakiteOSX, everything is completely removable. Just run the uninstaller from the Start Menu or from Add/Remove Programs.

FlyakiteOSX does not contain any spyware or ad-ware of any kind. All files needed for FlyakiteOSX are stored in the Windows directory in a folder named 'FlyakiteOSX' that is hidden by default. All registry values for FlyakiteOSX are written to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\FlyakiteOSX.

then again it says:Everything is completely uninstallable through the uninstaller.

Thats all I can tell you really, Just uninstalled it on my windows xp computer, just went back to normal, restarted it normal, installed flyakite back on, fine.
