we want more

I do like Steam, its really pushing devs to port more games to Mac.

But it is still HORRIBLY depressing to see the plethora of PC games available and the discounts! 90% of the mac games available I have already played on X-Box on release (usually about 6 months before a mac port is available) or have very little desire to play, or get about 50 mins worth of enjoyment out of (Polynomial for example).

But still... keep buying them people!!!
Don't cave in and run windows on your mac!!
Each Mac game you buy is YOUR VOTE for more Mac games to be made available.

BTW with all these specials going on, what do people think the chances of the ONLY mac game on steam I really want, CIV5, getting a bit of a price reduction??
Its still $75 or something!! May as well buy a box copy at that price.

It was on sale about a week ago, during the Steam treasure hunt.

Really?!? Craaaap. I just don't have the cash at x-mas to go buying games at that price, I really hope they have x-mas price at some point too. Maybe x-mas day.... crosses fingers

Really? I looked every day and never saw Civ V on sale. Civ IV, certainly, but not Civ V.

Do any source games work seamlessly with OSX? I have a MBP 2.4GHZ, 4GBRAM, and 256mb vram and I wanna install CS:Source/TF2/DOD:SOURCE but I'm not sure they'll really perform well.

There are so many sales but I have no idea what to get!! What games are known to perform really well on OSX?

Yeah that sounds more likely. All I want for Christmas is a copy of CIV5

If your out there Santa my Steam name is MattyEss, I've been a good boy, I promise!! :)

I've been playing Deathspank a lot lately and I definitely recommend it for 7.50. Fun game. Also excited about Mass Effect 2 and Alpha Protocol! I've gotten pretty much what I wanted in this sale already.

It was the day they had the Civ V achievement added to the treasure hunt, and it was a 33% discount, I think. I bet it'll happen in the US store during this sale. Still 9 days to go! Last year's sale was half as long.

I wasn't aware there was UK Steam store. Can you purchase from either?
I live in Australia.

Unfortunately you can't.

For those waiting for a Civ V deal, it's $35 at MU Promo today. It will of course register with Steam.

Haven't played it (will likely wait till all the episodes are done) but it got a glowing review at Joystiq. Very easy puzzles, though.

Anyone played Back to the Future? Looks VERY kiddy, I like the old adventure games, but I've got reservations about this...

bought it today It was great the mood felt like it was a movie the acting was solid and AJ who plays Marty nails MJ Fox and a great cliff hanger ending for Episode II in February.

Bought Bully. It seems to run slowly, and I can't find any information about its controls. I'm running it in a VM with Fusion, and games with higher requirements seem to run fine.

I agree, bought it yesterday. It feels like a true continuation of the movies and really has the same feel about it. The puzzles were quite easy but the story was enjoyable so it's a buy in my opinion.

Bought Eufloria in an earlier bundle. It's amazing! Very passive gameplay, but amazing to just sit back and watch.
