yeah i've gotten a bunch too it's sweet. though the last few days have been a little disappointing. we'll see what they have today

Not surprised by the perceived "dropoff," I had lower expectations post-Christmas.

Lack of Mac games really saved my budget; the only game I got was Deathspank, which feels like $7.50 poorly spent. I was considering Europa Universalis III when it was $5, but it seems way too hard core for a casual Civ V/Panzer General II player like me. Plus, I was skeptical of Paradox's Mac support.

Us Mac gamers really have to agonize too much - I still can't decide whether to buy Dragon Age for Mac at Gamersgate for $10-13. (The Gamersgate store is a bit skeevy, they inexplicably pulled the Mac Awakenings expansion. plus, there's no word on a Mac Ultimate edition, and there's no Steamplay insurance policy.)

No, I'm horrible at FPSs and I sometimes get motion sickness. Yeah, I'm a wimp. :eek:

The only time I got really into a FPS was Metroid Prime III - I was rewarded with 2 days of vertigo around 85% through. That was the last FPS I played.

tepmted on GTA IV complete and Dead space I'll have to think about those. and I will deff pick up plants vs zombies

Final sale doesn't look too hot apart from GTAIV Complete which I bought a few days ago :)

Killing Floor also looks good value, sadly horror FPS aren't my cuppa tea. Shame as the London DLC looks fun.

Can anyone recommend a sandbox first/second person view flying game on Steam?

don't feel too bad i dont think theres going to be many sales for a while on there:)

In the final run I picked up;

Caster
Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death
Sniper Elite
Penumbra: Black Plague - Gold Edition (So now I have the full Penumbra/Amnesia collection on Steam)

+Indie Future Pack;
Hacker Evolution
Hammerfight
System Protocol One (bought just for this game. Tower defence- my fave!)
Twin Sector
Uplink

That's it for me for ever now.
... 'cept the new summer sale and the next winter sale.

I've heard it's hit n miss, but it was only 70p during the sale. One of my buddies said the arresting system is brilliant and a totally underplayed mechanic so I'm sure thats worth the 70p!

I remember it from when it came out. I had a friend who was a big Dredd fan and I was routinely buying every new shooter ... it was decent enough, but not great. I still have the CD around, but bought it on an earlier Steam sale for really cheap as well.

That was a great Christmas sale they had. I bought Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead, Day of Defeat, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, and sadly Half-Life 2 The Lost Coast (no idea how I bought it, I never clicked it and it isn't mac compatible).

You probably got it for free for buying Half Life 2 or something.
