Was anyone able to figure this out? I am having the same problem with my Logitech MX Master 2S on the m1 Mac Mini.

Using the Logitech receiver ended up fixing the issue. Oddly enough, my Bluetooth keyboard (Keychrom K8) works fine.

I had terrible lag when the Logitech dongle was plugged into the USB-A port on the M1 Mini, but it's a lot better after plugging the dongle into a USB-A port on a hub instead. Still waiting for a Universal or native Logitech Options build :-(

I've had an MX Master 2s connected to the Mac mini M1 for a month now, and only experienced a short, minor mouse lags a couple of times but it's been working very well, and I very pleased with that setup...

...until two days ago where, after recharging the mouse overnight, the lag has become unbearable : the mouse pointer lags an inch and even button presses don't register, and it happens all the time

Reverted to using a wired mouse for now... ?

Even with a unifying dongle, the mx master 2s is not anywhere as smooth as it was on my windows laptop.

the only Logitech mouse that is smooth and lag free is my Logitech g900 with its own usb dongle, but Logitech g hub doesn’t work on an m1, I have no way of customising the settings on it.

Are there any mice that work properly with M1 devices right now?
My Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Mouse 3600 works great on M1 MBP. Same as with previous Intel MBP.

No additional software. Just connects and works.

I find that mouse with BCM chipset work great with no lag or stutter on M1.
I give you some examples, all using Bluetooth:
Magic Mouse 1 - works great no lag
Magic Trackpad 1 - works great no lag
Keychron k2 v2 - no problems at all
Logitech m557 - no lag, no stutter
All of the above seems to be using BCM Bluetooth chipset.

My problematic mouse connected with Bluetooth:
Logitech anywhere mx 2 - lag, stutter every 10 seconds for 1 second
Logitech anywhere mx 2s - lag, stutter every 10 seconds for 1 second
Logitech anywhere mx 3 - lag, stutter every 10 seconds for 1 second
All of the above seems to be on a different Bluetooth chipset.

I tested them on both Mac Mini M1 and MacBookPro M1. All seems to be having the exact same behaviors.
I tried turning off wifi on Mac Mini - no help,
changed 2.4ghz wifi channel on router - no help,
took the MBP outside in open field with the mx mouse - still stutter.
I kinda don't think it is interference issue, more of chipset or firmware issue.

Weird thing : if my MX Master 2s starts lagging and I connect my wired mouse, the 2s stops lagging and becomes perfectly smooth ! (the two mice are connected to the same hub).

I completely agree. I cannot believe that "Logi" think it's acceptable to ship a product like this without a warning that it doesn't work properly with the M1.

Currently have a 120e mouse sitting in a drawer and using an old Apple mouse. Will not be buying another Logi product.

I really wonder if this can be fixed at the Apple side of if it requires a firmware update on the Logitech side.

You guys should try the free trial of Steermouse. It fixed the sensitivity issues with the receiver on my MX Anywhere 3.

The bluetooth on 4 different mice I tried was still terrible and not usable though.

Thing is, I see this lag/stutter when using the MX Master 3 on my M1 without Logi Options or other management software like Mos.

I see it when paired purely on its own. I don't see the issues when using the mouse with my Intel Mac.

On my side, I ended up buying a Magic Mouse 2, increased the speed to 5 with terminal, and so far so good. No more stutter at all.
Both MX Master and Anywhere 2 were absolutely unusable with or with the dongle.

I have the similar issue on my HP laptop. It has 3 USB-A, and one of them will create random big lag for my M705 mouse.

I’m leaning towards getting the Magic Mouse just for simplicity sake knowing that it will just work

I'm a Windows user and recently bought an M1 Mac Mini. The experience has been mixed so far, but the mouse scrolling was really ruining it for me. The lack of smooth scrolling and completely inflexible acceleration was a major disappointment. I just downloaded the Smooze app and the difference is huge. I'm still kind of annoyed that I have to pay to get what should be part of the base OS, but it provides a lot of customization beyond just scrolling. Plus, the cost is quite low. I already miss a couple of the features when I go back to Windows. Now I just need to get used to the keyboard shortcuts. Windows and Linux are quite the same. Very convenient. Mac key bindings aren't necessarily worse, but I have to use various operating systems at work and home. I feel that it's a disservice to users to make it difficult to switch, especially when the Mac's key bindings don't offer any significant advantage.

I'm also a Windows user (mainly only gaming) I'm used to a Razer wireless mouse with 1000 Hz polling. So mouse stuttering issue is most annoying. In the end I've uninstalled the Logi software from my M1 and so far it feels better. But annoyingly the mouse has dafaulted to what we in Windows call "precision" which slows down the mouse over menu's etc. I suppose I can live with using the Logi mouse this way, least it has 3 profiles (unlike any of apple's BT kit)

With your specific comments on getting used to Mac modifiers. I transitioned using a Mac kebord then evually swapped the key modifiers on my Windows mech keyboard.

Same issue with MX Anywhere 3 on Macbook Pro M1, lag every 10 seconds via Bluetooth
Works better via receiver and only in case if no usb hub (like Satechi) are plugged in.

MX works via bluetooth on Intel based Macbook pro 2017

Well, tried this and weirdly it works... Now I have two mouses connected (one wired and one via usb dongle) and both of them works fine, at least in the previous minutes I've been testing it

Here's what I've settled on with my MX Anywhere 3...

1) Used the USB receiver and not bluetooth
2) Used Steermouse to disable acceleration and sensitivity
3) Updated my tracking speed in the Mouse settings in the OS

This seems to have helped remove the lag I was experiencing and make it a smoother experience, but still not as good as using this mouse on a Windows PC.

My original MX Master works ok for a while on my MacBook Air M1, but suddenly some of the buttons will not trigger the assigned functions on the Logi Options software. This seems to happen when I am running a RAM intensive application like Lightroom. When I use Lightroom I don't run any other apps, maybe Spotify, as I only have 8GBs of RAM. If I stop using Lightroom the MX Master well keep acting up until I restart the computer. It works perfectly on my 2014 MacBook Pro, so it's not the mouse. I use the M1 Air connected to a Dell U2520d external monitor. I've uninstalled the software and installed it again several times, tried with bluetooth and the unifying receiver and the behavior is the same. Sometimes the battery and bluetooth icons on the Logi Options software will be grayed out, and the MX Master will work, but as if it were without any customization. I thought that maybe the 4 year old MX Master was due for an upgrade, but it seems that even the newer versions have issues with M1 Macs.
