Using the mouse. Nice fit, but way to sensitive for what I was using. Had to tone it down and it appears to be good now.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I am very interested in the BoogBag does anyone have it and can offer any insight?

My other thought was the speck see thru cases but i have herd that they can damage the MBP? I would also like any insight on the specks if anyone can offer.

Thanks-

If anyone's looking for a smaller, normal looking backpack for a sweet price check out the eBag Workstation. I've had it for a week and it fits my new 15" MBP 2.2 perfectly, plus one book and my accessories.

Wow, I really havn't been searching for a back pack - I'm a university student, but to be honest, don't carry many books, so I've been looking at the Marware Sportfolio Bag someone recommened on page 1: http://www.marware.com/PRODUCTS/Apple-Laptop-Products/Sportfolio-Deluxe-for-MacBook-MacBook-Pro

but this EBags backpack is quite the deal...only 39 bucks!!!! Can anyone who got this Marware Bag post there comments...i'd like to order it but would love to hear someones thoughts on it in terms of quality, mbp fit, look etc etc...

Thanks guys :)

I bought, have it, and love it. Meets my needs and fits what I need to carry.

I like to carry my labtop and my books separate just cause I am paranoid.

I like this because it has room for my labtop and power adaptor and cables and other computer related things.

Thanks!!!! I think I'm going to order it today...u said you carry your laptop and books seperate, but if I wanted, is there enough room in the bag for like 2 textbooks...thats what I really want...this bag looks perfect, but I want to be able to put in just a book or 2 for when I'm walking across campus and then I only have one bag to carry

Did ya end up with the Black or Blue?

I have one myself. Nice looking bag. Unfortunately I don't think it provides enough protection for the laptop itself. Also it doesn't have a spot to really put in the power brick. There are a couple of pockets in the front that makes it bulge out when you put the power brick in there.

I got the black, You might be able to squeeze a book in there, but i doubt it.

I would not recommend this bag for anything other then the computer and the necessary computer accessories.

So far, I've purchased an InCase Canvas Sleeve, an iSkin ProTouch Keyboard Protector, Windows Vista for BootCamp, and a ShaggyMac Screen Protector.

I would pass on the Logitech VX Revolution, go for the Mighty Mouse or Logitech V270.

I too have used a ShaggyMac for many years...since my old PB Ti. Highly recommend :)

"I feel the bag fits very well. A bit loser then I was expecting, but nothing I lost sleep over. It has a special protection thing along the bottom third so it reinforces the corners and bottom for added protection. I wish it was a bit stronger along the sides , but the cardboard should suffice and is definitely better then nothing. Plenty of room for the NECESSARY ACCESSORIES such as power adatpor, etc cables, iPod, wireless mouse. You can do other stuff, but it would be a bit tighter and kind of bulky, but for me its wonderful. Has a ORCA pocket which I use for a few important papers I might need to have on hand. Also a ZIPPER compartment on the opposite I did not realize it had until I got it, which increases cargo space a bit.

For my needs it is awesome because alls I am interested in is the laptop and the basic accessories that I carry. I recommend this bag for anyone that wants to carry the essentials and don't expect to hold it the world.

The mouse is very nice and matches fairly well, though I would not call it exact, but no one will notice unless they look very closely. At first I thought it moved fast as hell, but now I am used to it, but I did turn the settings. I would recommend this basic mouse to anyone."

I got my sleeve in the mail last week and I love it. I finally found something in black, with memory foam instead of just neoprene, that's PRETTY, and didn't cost a billion dollars.

www.isiscovers.com

The ones for the MBPs have the 3 sided zippers, which I wanted. And it's not just plain; it has a nice pattern on it. Now I just need to find a cool backpack to lug it around in. I don't like my laptop case because it draws attention to the fact that I am carrying a laptop. And I'm a bit paranoid about security with a $2500 computer.

For my 17" SR MBP...

I got an STM backpack
Speck see-thru hardshell case
Tuscano Microfiber sleeve
Wireless Mighty Mouse
iSkin keyboard cover
Shaggymac microfiber thing
Screen protector
Trackpad + Button film

As you can see, I don't want anything to ruin my MBP.

For mouses, I have the VX Revolution. Had it since March, so it precedes the MBP. Great mouse.

For keyboards, I have a unbranded Dell keyboard I bought nearly 5 years ago for $3.

For displays, I have a Dell 1901FP that I bought over 3 years ago.

As for bags, I am going to buy an Incase Nylon bag. Had one for my MacBook and liked it. So I will be getting the same for my MBP.

For mouse: VX Revolution
keyboard: Apple wireless KB
case: sleeve with Apple logo from eBay :p
backpack: synergy from swiss gear (has a separate compartment for the laptop with latch)

I just place my MB in the sleeve in the compartment made to hold the laptop. Nice fit, lots of compartments with varying sizes, comfy straps. I'd say it holds 2-3 textbooks max but that's pretty heavy already. I usually just carry my books in my hands so there's less stress on my back.

I like the swiss bags as well, but like I said I want to carry books and laptop separately.

I've ordered an EXiM screen protector and a STM rebounded case for my soon-to-arrive 15-inch MBP. I hope these will be enough to protect the MBP.. My iBook G4 has got lots of cracks around the corner and scratches all over after 3 years of intensive usage.

I snagged a few things for my new 15" MacBook Pro.

Not 100% sure I dig the style but I love the other two Domke bags I have so I'll give it a shot. May end up with a Crumpler though.

So yeah, hopefully next weekend I'll be sitting outside in the afternoon, playing World of Warcraft.

i got the STM evolution. By far the best backpack i have ever owned and it provides great protection for my macbook! (It survived high school:D )

I'll be getting a decent pair of monitoring headphones, an Apple mighty mouse and http://www.laptopstuff.co.uk/product_details.php?item_id=2356&category_name=&group_name=laptopstuff

Something similar to that laptop case anyways.

Jamie, I've found an absolutely fantastic pair of headphones for doing monitoring and mixing, AKG s271. These headphones sound gorgeous, very nice crisp sound, with a little bump in the higher frequencies, very good build quality. I can highly recommend them. I just finished a 2.5 hour long classical recording gig and the headphones were awesome, very comfortable to wear the entire time I was recording.

Bought the Marware case, now looking for nice skin...

Thanks BigPrince for the reviews...Theres just so many choices out there, So I have gone ahead and ordered the same bag....The review he posted is for the Marware Sportfolio Bag (http://www.marware.com/PRODUCTS/Apple-Laptop-Products/Sportfolio-Deluxe-for-MacBook-MacBook-Pro) It looks quite nice, I bought the blue, set to arrive in 5 buisness days...It has compartments for all the accessories and also has a shoulder strap and handles so its exactly what I am looking for...I will also be ordering the V270 bluetooth mouse as it looks nice and small, obviously don't need a dongle, and its the same titanium colour as the MBP....so thanks for the help

I am also trying to track down the website of this fairly new company that makes, what looks like vinyl, skins for the MBP...they have about 15-20 designs and they go right on the back of the monitor and cover the whole case and then you can also order the exact same color strip for beside the tracking pad up to the keyboard...and I cannot for the life of me locate their site...they had one simple design which was meant to look like a turntable which i wanted to buy to protect the case and plus I have a lot of DJ gigs and really liked the design....

Its not "BestSkinsEver" or "GelaSkins"...but I would appreciate anyones comments who's bought a GelaSkins or something similiar as I really want to buy one..any other urls would be greatly appreciated

Thanks again :)

They look pretty cool. But I am hesitant to cover my girl. She's gorgeous as is. :)
