I think you're on to something. This was the OP's first post and also the first post of the guy that replied saying how good it was.

Seems like this thread might have been a plant by the developer of the app.

Yep. Plus the fact, there is a duplicate thread just a few posts down that he could have added on to.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/5.0.0176/742; U; en) Presto/2.4.15)

Blatant app pushing. That gets my goat. There is an app store section btw.

Yes,

This application will also work for your iPod, iPhone and well your iPad.
You can load it from www.cortado.com/myworkplace
And yes, it’s a free application.

What features? Well, it’s a true cloud printing environment.
You can print to any Wi-Fi printer. And with iPhone and iPod, you can print to any Bluetooth printer.
You get 1G of free memory storage and you are able to access files from your local drive (iPod/iPad/iPhone drive) and also can access the 1G of free storage.
You can print any document.
and the best thing. its freeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!

I think you might work for this Cortado company... I also think the other guy works for air-sharing...

I found another product called PrintCentral for iPad. This one is not free either. I would like to test the products before making a purchase.
Even tho is chump change, I don’t want to spend money on something that won't work for me.

I don’t care who works for who...

As long as I have a application that I can use on the go and print when I need it...
So far. Cortado workplace is free and I’m going to load it and test it.
If I don’t like it, then I will remove it and try another application.
Why not try it. It’s a free application?

With Cortado is there a way to print things you've saved to your iPad? Pages documents, emails, web pages?

I just loaded this application.

I can print, documents.. Nice.
I can print, attachments on my email. Nice
I didn’t see an option to print the actual email or webpage. But I as able to copy my email and save as a document and print. Same thing with a webpage. I was able to copy the content and paste it to a document and only then was able to print a webpage.

but other than that. I don’t think you can print an email or webpage without coping and pasting into a document

You made a good point.
I will try it, and if I don’t like it I can always remove it. Is free right..
Then I can always load the other products and go from there.
I am going to load the Air Sharing HD next, if Cortado workplace doesn’t work for me.

R7N4HL76HMRH used, lets see how this works!

Eh, not really feeling this app.

Also, I am looking to print PowerPoint slides, and normally in school today, students print 3 slides to a page, unless an app comes out that let's u edit printing preferences, I can not see it being to helpful.

Apple will probably have to fix this problem, and it will probably take over a year.

Print Magic HD has been released for the iPad. Has anyone here tried it out yet. I tried the free version of print magic which just tests to see if it can find your printer and print a test page and it worked but there are few reviews of the full iPad version and i'm looking for some more feedback prior to purchasing.

I keep pondering this one too.... My biggest issue is that I don't know what i will have access too the next time i really need to "print" stuff out. Will someone have a wifi printer? Will ____ be there with their normal set up, will i need to buy my own AE to set up my printer.

I guess the only thing i will solve is if it will print to my i70 printer.

ETA: I saw my i70 on their list, emailed a question to the dev, had an answer in like 10 minutes, and bought the app.

i'm not sure i can get it set up in the next 20 minutes before i have to leave (i need to reset my airport base station and set up the printer), but it will work.

One thing to note - it is a text copy of the stuff when it prints. My Spreadsheet didn't look the same.... but i can also use a screen shot and get what i need so that will work too. So for now, this should work for me since it doesn't need the helper app like Print Central.

I won't deny, i wish Apple would just put this in the OS so we can print from pages & numbers direct. BUt then again, maybe by buying and supporting the dev - he can add in printing from viewing those files.

I will be testing out Print Magic HD this afternoon and then will report back as to all the features and what can be done with it.

The test version worked well with my HP officejet pro 7410. It found the printer and actually listed it twice. I think that it has 2 drivers (or methods) to print to the printer. The first one listed didn't work, but the second one worked fine and printed out the test page nicely.

What i don't know about the app is weather there are ways to change the print settings such at print quality, color, paper size, etc.

I was happy that it found my printer easily. One of the other apps i tried for printing didn't find my printer at all and another one i tried didn't find my printer until i made sure that my ipad was on the same band as my printer. I have a dual band router and the printer is on one band and my ipad is on the other faster band. For the Print Magic test app it found my printer even though i kept the ipad on the different band then the printer... nice.

Scratching my head why Print Magic isn't a universal app.
They want you to buy the phone and pad versions seperatley.

Not very customer friendly.

Hi All.

I've had some time to test out Print Magic HD. It found my printer immediately. It shows 2 instances of my printer. Each seems to use a different method to print. One had to be configured as it didn't work. The configuration was easy. It printed a test message with a code number. The app asks which of 3 code numbers were printed out. At first I didn't get a code number and it printed another test page with the code and then all was fine.

The instance of my printer that had to be configured prints nice crisp black text. The other instance prints color but a little blurry and the print starts about 1/4 down the page.

You can print from your photo library directly from the app which is nice. For documents you have to copy the text to your clipboard in another app ( I tried good reader and pages) and then the text shows up in Print Magic HD. This works well.

For web pages you copy the URL from your browser and they show up in the print app.

The settings are minimal. You can select your printer, paper size, font, and copies. I would like to see a print quality and color/black and white option if possible.

The nice thing was that goodreader allows you to copy the text off a PDF which goes to the clipboard which shows up in the print app.

I'm overall impressed with it and I'm sure with time it will get even better. I emailed the developer and suggested that they add the option to open documents in the print app.

For anyone considering this app get the free test app to make sure it finds your printer and can print the test page.

The Print Magic iPad App seems to work great with one exception. The text is blurry no matter who, what, when or why I print.

I'm not finding any solutions for it yet? Anyone have any good ideas on how I can fix this?

The App works fine other than this little annoying thing.
