All you guys need to RELAX. theSpaz is one person who made an incorrect prediction. SO WHAT. Damn I've never seen anyone get so pissed over someone wrongly predicting something. beta 3 is out. that's all that matters. not that someone said it wasn't gonna happen and it did. chill.
The problem is not that he madre a wrong prediction. Problem is that he states his opinion as FACT, and was picking on the op on why should it be released today, when in fact, it was.
MMS is totally gone for me now. never had it working before but now the little camera button is gone in sms and the keyboard has a black background behind the keys. This was however the first time that I restored from backup instead of starting fresh again.
Best part of 3.0B3 is that restoring to beta 3 from beta 2 doesn't wipe the device, it just upgrades your iPhone. Takes 15 mins and doesn't touch any settings or files. The way it should be!
Did you "command click" the update button then pick the correct .ipsw?
I just want to make sure I do it the easiest way.
option clicked the restore button and picked the ipsw. seems to be working well with a restore from my backup as well.
YES! Sorry, I option clicked the Update button instead of the Restore button. It worked perfectly. No issues whatsoever.
Is everyone else restoring?
Same here. I just upgraded, no need to restore the phone. YouTube works great, video quality is alot better now. Also the button that let's you skim through the video now has a 'glow' (or is that old news?).
o2-UK's Youtube quality is no different. But overall I'm very pleased with my initial experience of this beta. Some bugs still about but feeding them back.
Mms messaging is much much better, the whole process has been sped up.
I only get good quality videos on youtube when my iphone is connected to wifi, but on 3g its pixelised.
yep, and that's how it's meant to be as far as I'm aware, although An option for better quality over 3g would have been nice. Ha ha
Just tried it watching a movie... it's great - sometimes Apple can give us useful features without us having to shout about them for months
The speed at which you move through the song/movie when scrolling left or right.
For example - in pre 3.0, if you moved the circle along the bar it would be proportional (moving your finger half way across the screen would jump to the middle of the film), now if you move your finger down the screen and then along, it 'fast-forwards' at a slower rate, allowing you to get exactly where you want to without missing it.
I hope that makes sense...

This is actually a very nice feature, now you can more easily jump to an exact part of a song or movie.
