You know, I don't know that I've heard if folks think the Tablet browser will have Flash? It seems to me that without Flash it's use will be severely restricted. With it being based on iPhone OS though, I'm wondering if Flash would be included. Anyone else have this concern?

Apple (and Android) have done a great job getting companies to realise not having a Flash alternative site is an annoyance and a silly thing.
Youtube? HTML5 demo. Vimeo too.
I could see it shipping with a Flash switch in settings. (like a click2flash setting - where you could activate Flash if wanted for a specific part of a website).
Will they say - well, Adobe doesn't have anything good enough for the Tablet?
Apple could give a big blow to Adobe by not supporting it initially.

I hope it supports flash for sites such as Hulu... or hopefully like Youtube using HTML 5, Hulu switches over. 
Well that is my concern, sites that play TV shows - Hulu, CBS, NBC, etc. That would be a big use of mine.

Adobe had flash up and running on the iPhone, but Apple is not interested in it. Really you don't want it either it would kill the battery life.

If it doesn't support flash, then that may be a game changer for me. I mean seriously, what is the point of it if it can't support all web pages. It is looking like it will cost 500 with contract and 1000 without contract, and for that price, it's OS should be much closer to OS X instead of iPhone 4.0 (like how Microsoft has Windows 7 starter for netbooks, not something based on Windows Mobile 6.5), have USB ports, firewire and display port, but it looks like none of those will reach the iPad, which makes me think it may be kind of useless. I may still buy one because I have to have to newest gadgets, but I don't know if I will be happy with it.
Purely on an interaction level, Flash is designed for keyboard and mouse. So is HTML, but it's an open standard that allows Apple to implement multi-touch on the client end. Apple does not trust Adobe to implement multi-touch Flash on any of their devices.

For most things it hasn't been an issue with the iPhone (for me). I don't miss it and I know it is very processor intensive.
I was hoping some day the iPhone and the iPod Touch would eventually support flash. Guess that's not going to happen.
Of course i know that, i do have an iphone as it says in my signature d'uh
I was hoping that the tablet, regardless of what OS it was running would have flash. It is very important to a lot of people.

I have a Macbook Pro. I love it. I web surf frequently, like most here and a great many sites have flash content.
I also have an iPhone - no flash. Some sites are specifically designed for the iPhone and will automatically re-direct you to their non-flash "watered down" version.
While Apple is pushing HTML5, let's face it, flash is currently intrenched into the Internet. Even in his presentation, Steve goes to a site that shows flash content that the iPad cannot display. If he was going to do some web surfing, you'd think he'd keep away from those sites, unless he purposefully wanted to let everyone know that it's a no-flash device.
I'd buy an iPad if it was truely a web browsing device. But it's appears that it's not. If it truely does not play flash, then it's simply a large iPhone when it comes to web browsing. It is NOT the Apple experience that Steve thinks it is - or that it should be. Hopefully, there will be flash enabled, but then I remember saying the same thing about the iPhone.
