You know how they used to say that keeping a mobile in your jeans pocket would reduce your fertility and drop your sperm count?

I wonder if the ipad has the same effect, i mean you'll spend all evening/weekend with it on your lap.

Since this not an all male forum, do they say it will effect our egg count? :p

Only if you are watching porn :p

I keep mine wrapped in a towel, and use the towel rolled up to tilt my ipad

I am just waiting on a case

Why the focus in cases? I have a carrying case for mine for when I put it in my backpack, but other than that I use it naked. One of the coolest things about it is how thin it is! I have no scratches now, I eventually will, and im okay with that.

Buy a protector or a case for it so it is no longer naked. You get scratch resistant covers for the back which are clear plastic if you dont like a rubber or any kind of cover or case..

Yep. I agree. When I get mine I'm going to use it without a protective case. I can't see the point of buying something so aesthetically pleasing and then spoil the looks by covering it up.

It's like folks who put those horrible protective sleeves on the iPhone. Makes the thing look horrible.

But if you buy the clear protective covers it doesnt change how it looks?

Also you can get matt screen ones that make the screen better when outside since it resists glare.

GET the In Case. The one they sell at Apple. I tried 2 other silicone skin and the InCase fits perfectly! Do not waste your money on anything else.

I just try to set mine down on something non-abrasive. Like a magazine. But I'm not worried about keeping mine pristine. I buy my stuff to use for a long time. Not to sell later, etc.

Must admit, i put a rubber shell on the back of my iPhone 3G.

Went without for a week, but the damn thing was so slippery i kept almost dropping it when i was travelling, on the tube etc.

I've seen them and tried 'em and they still take away the looks of the device.

I know for a lot of folks that the trade off in terms of protecting there device is worth it but for me, the look of the device is very important.

And it's not like the devices aren't durable. I had my original launch iphone until recently (upgraded to 3GS) and never had a protective sleeve and it still looked great when I went to trade it in. Although I did make an effort not to put it in a pocket with keys, coins etc...

I use Wrapsol for the back and SGP for the screen. I have no problems so far. Keep in mind I mainly use the iPad at home.

I use a four foot giant lint free cloth and wrap my iPad four or five times to protect it. I then don my extra large Snuggly blanket I bought on TV to protect my baby from my zipper and buttons. Latex gloves keep prints and grease off the screen, and I have a special room in my house outfitted with an advanced dust filtration system to keep dust specs from appearing under the glass...

So far, mine is still pristine.

No case, and I don't do anything to try to keep the :apple: shiny or the aluminum from being scuffed. I don't mind if my iPad ends up looking like I use it all the time and take it everywhere.
