Yeah iPhones are notorious for having high SAR levels. I think Samsung is best in this regard as they have some of the lowest levels.

Call me paranoid, but I put my iPhone SE on airplane mode whenever I know I won't need it. Like when I'm on the subway, or when I'm sleeping. Better be safe than sorry.

According to the following site, manufacturers get to choose the distance at which the SAR is measured. As distance to the body gets smaller, the SAR increases dramatically. Apple's distance is 1/3 that of Samsung's.

Cellphones produce non-ionizing radiation. Only ionizing radiation is harmful.

That said I want my phone to put out as much signal as possible so the tower can receive it better! So I consider high SAR levels to be a feature.

The towers adjust the strength of signal your phone puts out so that they're received at the correct level at the tower.

The power cell phones can emit is regulated because it can raise flesh and internal temperatures, even of the brain.

IMO those are not that high. Are other ‘flagships’ under 1.0?

WTS, I NEVER hold a phone to my head for more than a few minutes and never more than 20 min in a day.

Use the speakerphone or headphones. Just isn’t worth it.

I am curious of SAR rating for the new Apple Watch.. looking up now.

What about your hand?
