iPad mini Mini 5 in Apple Stores?

Just ordered mine last night for the 64gb with cellular. Ship date not till the 12-17th. I just got the Mini 4 from Amazon two days ago and it seemed slow compared to my daughters iPad 2018. So figured I'd just get the new 2019 mini and return the mini 4! 
I ordered my iPad Mini 5 online last Sunday, but got tired of waiting for the e-mail telling me it's on its way. SO I checked availability at local Apple Stores, and the Glendale, CA Galleria Apple Store had the one I wanted, for pick up today! So I canceled my online order, and I can't wait to go pick mine up after work tonight. SO excited!!!
I see that as a plus. Would hate to have people ask me how I like my iPad.
Speaking of new, shiny minis, I am surprised Apple doesn't sell (and installl) screen protectors for the mini.
In Bristol UK stores tomorrow, Cribbs Causeway said allowed to sell them today.

yeah sometimes its better to just get it in the store when it comes in than preordering online.
I'm doing the same thing. My order still hasn't shipped and it's available at the local Apple Store (The Grove). So, I'm on my way to finally getting this new maxed out mini. I haven't had a mini since the 2nd one.

Click on the pick up option from the uk website when following the buy route. No 64gb silver wifi in London until the 11th April.
I'm assuming they may have it before the 11th, depending on what is in the shipment the local store gets. I took it as meaning it's the 11th if you order it for delivery to the store from the warehouse or wherever. It's a comparable timescale to home delivery for me.
I just got back into town last night and found none of the stores anywhere around the Portland (OR) metro have 256gb Space Grey Cellular model. Annoying. I'd like to snag one. I agree that they might be more popular than expected, or maybe just pent up demand for waiting so long for an upgrade. Maybe I'll just order one and wait.
Got mine today, 64GB Cellular Gold. I set it up from an iCloud back up in store and when it loaded in, Safari opened the Apple site where I had been using it earlier to check stock... showing the store as out of stock. Looks like I might have bagged the last one.

By the afternoon yesterday they'd come in to one of my local stores (the closest one luckily) so I was able to get one. I'm digging it so far!
Just went into the Singapore Apple store and bought a 256/Cellular space gray. Plenty of stock available for any configuration
