I sure wish that those of us that already paid for MLB.tv premium, which includes audio, would get this for free or something. Unfortunately really no way to do it I guess.

Although, with the in-app purchasing thing coming, do you think next year they'll have it where you can buy audio from within upon trying to log in if you don't have an account already?

Just a hunch and discussion question.

Does anyone know if blackout restrictions apply to the radio feature? I'm in Chicago and will want to listen to Cubs broadcasts, but I dont think WGN's online feed will carry the game...

The Cubs are still around? I thought the only real team in Chicago was the White Sox.

Those are video subscriptions, you can watch the full game. You dont have live audio because there is nothing to hear yet.

Gameday audio is now available. Quality sounds like mono AM radio. Sounded the same to me on Wi-Fi vs. EDGE. :)

Sounded maybe a tick better to me, but definitely not FM-quality. It was on par with the March Madness app's audio.

I only had the chance to check out the Braves feed on WiFi. Worked very well, and I didn't get any GSM buzz in the few minutes I had it docked on a radio. What were other experiences? I'm worried about getting the audio at work because of the signal, but I can usually get at least 2 bars. I'll probably find one of the afternoon games to check out for a bit while driving tomorrow.

My reception at work is absolute garbage so was wondering how the live audio worked over just lowly GPRS? Constant buffering I'd imagine?

I've got one more day to think about getting this since my White Sox have canceled today's game so I'd love to hear what you all think about the Gameday Audio today.

The first way I read that, I thought you'd gone nuts. "I think it's still worth $9.99 for the other 161 games" went through my head. I don't want to say anything until I try it over EDGE. I think there's a game at 1 p.m. eastern, and plenty more later, so I can comment on it tonight.

I bit the bullet and went ahead and purchased this since I didn't renew MLB Extra Innings this year.

I noticed that when I select any of the games, and press the Audio button, they all indicated that there is no audio available for this game. Can you get pregame feeds, or do they only become active when the game actually starts?

Boooooooooooo!

Go Twins!;)

I have all the respect in the world for the Twins and I hope you've got some for the White Sox. The Twins are a top-notch organization and I look forward to the battles with the Twins this year.

Ha, I know it's a great deal for the number of games I'll listen to. I just want to know how it all sounds before I go and dive in :)

And EDGE quality is going to be a huge deal for me as well.

Decided to roll the dice and go for the app last night after wunder radio worked like a charm and was great quality with no buffering on anything below 128kbs streams!

Sadly MLB: At Bat constantly buffers every few seconds and is pretty poor quality over GPRS. Didn't notice an improvement in quality over wi-fi either. Still think it's a great app but how come wunder radio can get much better quality streams over a worse connection?

Does the audio work over edge and is the app small enough to download over edge?

The Twins vs. White Sox meetings are some of the best all season. It's an incredible divisional-rivalry.

One of the best rivalries where the hatred isn't the focus. It's a genuine respect for both sides from what I can tell. I hate the Twins when they beat us but I can't hate the players or the organization.

Did anyone manage to get this to work over T-Mobile T-Zones hacked EDGE? Mine keeps saying Connecting and gives an error, the stream never starts. The Gameday pitch-by-pitch and the rest of the internet works just fine.

Because of the issues that MLB is having to get the equipment into the U.S. the audio quality wasn't that great during the White Sox game today but it allowed me to catch the end of the game so I'm happy.

I love it! Now I can listen to all the Red Sox games no matter where I am! Since I'm stuck in Angels territory, that's worth way more than $10.

And when I go to the game this weekend, I can listen to the Boston announcers. :D

:D I'm in Long Beach, too, and Celtics all the way, babe. I'll take almost any other team over the Lakers, though. But back in the day, when y'all had Magic and Kareem and them, and we had Bird and DJ and them? That was the rivalry. I loved watching the two teams play. Now? Blech.
