Works great for me so far.

I just installed this and it's working straight off the bat. Strangely I didn't even need to input any carrier/APN settings, they were already in there (perhaps these were left over from SwirlyMMS which I had installed before going to 3.0...?).

As a settings-related side note, I'm on Vodafone NZ, who have recently modified their settings so that absolutely any APN, wrong or otherwise, will allow data usage. I've read that this is quite possibly one of the only places in the world to do this - not good but I won't go into this here.

In regard to the crapola scaling of images received, all I've done to test this is to send myself a picture. It appears to have identical quality to the picture I sent out, not horribly low res like many reporting. :)

I installed this on a 2G phone and rebooted. I have no Cellular Data Network menu under Network but I am on the default carrier so the settings must already be on the phone because it worked. It scaled the picture down by over 50%.

Thought i would jump in cause i found out why mine wasn't working... (I'm on T-Mobile USA) I originally had the cellular data APN as epc.tmobile.com and the MMS APN as wap.voicestream.com. Once i matched both APN's as wap.voicestream.com and restarted, every thing worked great! Well, except for the blurriness of the pics,, oh well, cant complain

I can't get the APN to be saved on Network config.
Everything else is there, but the APN keeps getting erased after I reboot the phone.
any help?

I also have 2G with ActivateMMS2G

I dont understand how things can work on some phones but not others that are the same phone 2G. Is the OS unstable or something? How can i have no problem with this but others are having difficulty?

However, since i have the MMS working with my messages, now my SwirlyMMS wont recieve a picture saying there is an error using the same settings.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

The only things that's killing me is the blurry pictures. It feels pointless to receive pictures and seeing them with beer googles. Hopefully we see some settings soon to improve the image quality.

I'm on tmobile USA and the following worked for me.

APN on both cell and mms settings as wap.voicestream.com not epc.tmobile.com

I tried setting a max image size but no luck receiving or sending with anything in that field.

Wow. So Apple lied to us that payed $600.00 for a phone. It can support MMS. It has the hardware to do it. Can it support Stereo bluetooth? Can you use the 2G to record video? Can you use it for Peer to Peer over bluetooth when you jailbreak?

the 2G has been able to use video recording for quite some time now...cycorder

Looks like everyone who got it to work are on T-Mobile. Anyone on AT&T? What are the settings for AT&T? The app doesn't have any settings instructions.

I'm on AT&T and I did get it to work. If you do a search under my postings, you'll find another thread where I verify that this does work for AT&T.

Weird.

I can get it to work on T-Mobile with wap.voicestream.com, BUT!!!

A) It takes FOREVER to send a pic,

B ) For normal internet browsing it seems slower, and I can't view Youtube on anything BUT epc.tmobile.com.

My friend got it to work on his 3G, but I still can get it to work on my 2G

In my country the Cellular Data APN is different than the MMS, and if I put the same in both, it will stay but the MMS won't work

Restoring it and putting 3.0 from scratch would do? cause I haven't been able to install wintherboard either... nor from cydia nor from icy

Anyway to do this manually? I don't have Cydia installed, I only did the jailbreak to hacktivate my 2G so I can use it on T-Mobile. I can access and modfy the entire filesystem with Phoneview.

Same problem as others, APN won't save.

EDIT - If you put it on Cell data at the top AND at the MMS spot, it works.

Does anyone know what to input for AT&T? I've tried to apply from help.benm.at but it still doesn't work.

I have a iPhone 2G btw.

For AT&T try the same settings current users are using on their 3g or 3gs. Keep in mind AT&T does not support mms for the iPhone officially until later this summer. Looks like some people have had success. Good luck.

Tried this on my 2G with t-mobile sidekick prepaid plan. The camera icon shows up in messages app but I can't send or receive MMS. I've tried several different APN's but I can't get it to work.

Works on AT&T Blue (mMode)

I just got MMS working on the 2g iPhone for AT&T Blue mMode (for those on AT&T prior to becoming Cingular (orange)) using the following settings:

You have to use a URL in the MMSC section? Thats way different than my tmobile settings.
