For those having problems even with the original file when adding the source.

I don't know if this matter but yesterday while checking cydia. It seems like there are two packages for activateMMS. Same author by why two. The one installed on my phone is the one with the black icon. Not the other one. And it works perfectly. I also used search and that's the one that came up. The one with the black icon with a white "a" inside. Anyways, I don't know if there's a difference but for those who wish try. again.

Here is something for those who can't get the data to save in the settings. A lot of people have had success with this method.

Yes, that did it, thanks!! My 2G iphone can send and receive MMS's successfully. :D

I've got it to work on ATT but, just recently, it stopped working. I tried switching it to another phone that has MMS to see if something was going on and i got an error message that MMS has been disabled and that I need to call the provider. Anyone else get this?

Mms problems

I just reacently got the activatemms2g to work on my phone. I was able to send and receive mms. But today I just realized that when I went to send a picture message that my camera icon was gone. So I went to check my settings and the mms settings were gone too. I was able to receive a pic message but I can't send them. I don't know what happened can anyone help me get it working again?

Wish this had a warning for 3G users, it just bricked my phone. Now i have to restore everything. SHOOOOOOOOOOOOT

No MMS w/out Data (T-Mobile)

Hi, I just wanted to share with you guys that I have been working with T-Mobile to set up my 2G for MMS. I have 3.0 and have downloaded ActivateMMS2g and have entered in the info from T-Mobile.

There seems to be a snag... From the different options we have tried out, my phone will not send or receive MMS. It was then that T-Mobile confirmed that in order to use MMS on the 2G you have to have the internet data plan. MMS will not go through like SMS. Sucks, I know. Strangely though, it still refuses to work with wifi.

Does everyone here that has tried out this method have the data plan? Does anyone have working MMS without data?

I have the all data plan and have been sending and receiving mms fine since the release of this hack. I don't think wifi will work since mms requires your cellular data.

It's been working fine with no issues. Crystal clear pictures too thanks to the other addon. On tmobile on a 2g.

Blurred picture

Does anyone else get blurred pictures when using active mms 2g? Because I sent it to myself and the pic was so blurry i couldnt even see it.

How everyones battery life after enabling Activatemms2g. I have read threads over at modmyi.com and many people have been saying that it has been a big battery drain ever since installing this patch. Any results?

Guys, I've tried everything that is on this thread but my camera icon wont show

What's going on?

also I'm on 3.0.1 whatever...the one for the sms fix, is that the problem?

Worked like a charm

Instructions laid out in post #52 worked like a charm!!!

Used on two iphones 2g running 3.0 .. one with the 9.99 data plan and the other with no data plan. Both working perfectly!!

Thanks to whoever posted those instructions.

when i try step 8 (8. Once your iPhone has rebooted, go to Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network. Your MMS APN should be present in every APN field) I do not have the 'cellular data network' option...........it just goes settings > general > Network.......then data roaming, VPN or wi-fi.....

Then you did not successfully update your carrier IPCC.
