I can't help it that I'm in love my my phone.

I have no desire for this at all. . .

But I also agree, I HOPE Apple gives us Multitasking ability! I also find it funny with alot of people once Apple gives us one thing, Someone finds ANOTHER issue/"basic feature" Apple "forgot"

Because there's so many...

The original iPhone couldn't send a text to more than one person, couldn't forward texts, couldn't delete individual texts, couldn't copy/paste, couldn't browse and listen to music at the same time, couldn't delete more than one email at a time.

It still can't multitask, has a bad camera with no flash, can't send files over bluetooth, has apple dictating what you can put on your own phone, has intrusive notifications that interrupt what you're doing.

Like you stated that was the original iPhone, the things you mentioned we have that NOW.

As far as what we don't have, you can't really do much about that. Lol you either love the phone for what it's worth, or you found something thats better for you.

In my honest opinion, people just complain about things other phones have just to say "Oh yeah my phone does that! I bet your phone doesn't have Direct Tv on it!" It's pointless when some feel having certain features will make the phone better.

A phone is just that, a phone and I have a Mac to do all the things people want their phone to do.

I just laugh at Apple's revolutionary device that can still only run one app at a time and can't play flash media. It's quite hilarious really.

If a phone is just a phone to you, then why buy a smartphone? You're on the wrong forum if the iPhone is "just a phone" to you... you can get phones about 5 times cheaper than the iPhone with more minutes and texts.

I thought this was a Mac forum :D

I have an iPhone because it does what I NEED it to do. . .It has all the basic functions "Smart phones" have. I don't like cheap and I don't settle for less, so money is not a factor.

I guess my point is, People will either buy the phone and accept what it HAS or move on. It really makes no difference to complain/suggest/argue about things we can't change.

LAST but not least. . . the iPhone is in fact just a phone. . .a portable one just like the other "Smart phones" ;)

I bitch about the iPhone because it has amazing potential, it's just a shame that Apple are in charge of it...

No.. it's not just a phone. In fact, the "phone" part of the iPhone is one of the things it does worst. It is considerably better at web/email and gaming, than it is at being a phone. The iPhone does not have a great ear speaker, loud speaker, or default headphones.

Erm...hello???

3.7" AMOLED capacitive touchscreen.
5MP camera which shoots HD video + LED flash.
802.11n support.
More than twice the RAM of the 3GS.
1GHz snapdragon processor.
Multitasking.
Widgets.
Unobtrusive notifications (sliding tray that you drag down from top left hand corner of screen).
Integration with your social networking websites.

iPhone who?

Too bad the hype has died down real fast.

What's the point in hyping up a phone? We've seen the specs, there's nothing really to talk about until the release date now. Just because there's not billions of HTC fanboys that leave and breathe HTC (like Apple fanboys), doesn't mean it's not going to be a hugely popular device.

Personally, I want a tool that works well and integrates with my lifestyle and needs.

The iPhone wins hands down for syncing with the Mac and MobileMe. For me, this integration is what makes the iPhone the best choice for me. Life is simple and I like that.

Has anyone seen the "HTC desire" yet?

It's basically a Nexus one with flash 10.1 support, an optical trackpad instead of trackball, and the HTC sense UI that was seen in the Hero (but with added benefits)... Apple is going to have to pull something special out the bag to stop me from getting that :D

HTC created the Nexus One, so they reserve the rights to reuse its hardware... which means it will have the same screen, which has excellent reviews.

HTC Desire

Both, BoyGeniusReport.com and AndroidCentral.com are reporting that at&t might get the Desire in the May-June timeframe. I hope this is true.

No word on desire coming to Canada, no word on Nexus coming to Canada, Android no likey Canada. Or it's just HTC that hates us.

I bought the htc touch diamond a year and half back. The specs supposedly blew the iphone away. The question with specs, is what does it mean if the operating system and apps suck or are non existent. Where was the app store? I bought a touch off of craigslist and within a day, i had all kind of apps on it. Phonics for the kids, games, movies, dictionaries, podcasts, etc, etc, etc.

My friend came into my office, showing off a couple of phones htc pro II, and some android phone with better specs than the iphone. I asked him to show me what they could do. After we got past the pretty screens, the apps were sad. I love multitasking, but what are all of these great tasks the phone is doing?

I don't want at&t, sprint in my city is the best deal, but if the actual software on these other phones don't become competitive I am going to switch.

like our beloved ceo said "were working and the new os should blow the there phones away", they know what we want and they know there competition the next iphone and or the os will be great. idk if those are those exact words but lets hope guys

Steve Jobs words were something like "the next OS update will be an A+ update". Slight paraphrasing because I don't remember it verbatim but that was it.
