The Citrix mouse also works with Jump Desktop remote desktop software for the iPad. Using it on any iPad (Pro or non) is an enjoyable user experience when connecting an iPad to a macOS device (or even Windows system). No such announcement. I’m not optimistic for iOS 13 either.
Interestingly, there is a Bluetooth mouse available from Citrix that works perfectly apparently... but only within Citrix’s own apps.
is there any plan to have mouse support in the future for the iPad Pro 3rd gen.?
Thank.

I'd like it with certain apps, but don't need it system wide. I don't see it happening with iOS 13.
if it isnt system wide, dont bother to introduce it at all - there is no point then.
I don't get it. Apple would be engineering a pointer overlay, but then have it disappear when usingOf course there is, for use in productivity apps. I use an iPad as my main computer and it would be handy to us occasionally in productivity apps, but I don't see why you would need it system wide. I don't think Apple would go that route anyway.

'non-productivity' apps? Does it work in the ios pages?

i have been using a mouse with my Note tablet and using a keyboard to type letters. i dont understand why i should sometimes tap the screen while using a keyboard and the mouse. it is also almost ”impossible”, atleast cumbersome, when the tablet is standing as a display in front of you.
many times when i mirrored my tablet to the tv for example, it would also have been literally impossible to tap the tablet when the tablet wasnt in front of me but i was only having a keyboard on my lap and a mouse next to me.
When you say "cursor" are you referring to the mouse pointer or text cursor? On my Android devices, with a Bluetooth mouse connected the cursor is always visible and acts the same as a mouse on a laptop, PC, etc. Works extremely well in all apps.

On my Android devices, the mouse pointer is only visible when I have a mouse attached to the system (either hardwired or bluetooth) *AND* the mouse is being moved. If I stop moving the mouse, the pointer is still visible but if I start typing or touch the screen the mouse pointer disappears.
Doesn't require much imagination: this was essentially windows 8. Worked fine, although obviously thereI don’t think we’ll ever see a mouse clicking on apps in the home screen. I just can’t see it.
Android's support for mice is near-perfect and shows that Apple's reluctance isn't a technical one, nor even a design issue, but a marketing one.Your description is correct - I was too imprecise in mine. I should have said pointer, not cursor, and your description of functionality matches what I see.

were other issues. It's also likely ios apps are porting to MacOS soon; so you may be seeing pointer driven
apps on MacOS before ios.
Question: do you see a reason this couldn't work, or are you just expressing a preference
that it shouldn't work this way? Follow up: whats lost if all apps and home screen did work
with a mouse or track pad?
