Fanboys? so calling a great product a great product makes me a fanboy huh? Apple is a great product that markets well as do Samsung. You don't need to be a fanboy to state a product is great.

Enjoy your chinese phones all you like. People buy what they can afford at the end of the day. You get what you pay for as they always say and those phones certainly could never do it for me.
You dismissed the Chinese phones altogether just because you think Samsung is better. That's fanboyism.
And yes, I am enjoying my Redmi and OnePlus One, and I still have some money left to buy other things instead of spending $$$ for a Samsung. :) Like I've been saying again and again, if you like giving Samsung more money, more power to you.

And when my iPhone breaks, I can get support from Apple stores around the world. I need support for my Samsung phone, Samsung USA denied support simply because it is unlocked. I rest my case.

My OnePlus One is also on Marshmallow with latest May security patch, and I don't have to pay $$$ like a Samsung phone. Your point? I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet 2014, Samsung flagship's tablet at that time, and it didn't event get Lollipop. So why should I pay $$$ for Samsung again?

As noted above no you cannot get guaranteed free international support for your IPhone

Just as well you had a Samsung tablet else you may of been, knowing your luck, one of the ones that got a free brick upgrade from Apple with there latest update for the IPP :)

As for most it's personally experiences that sway decisions, if Apple have been better for you then that's fine but it's not the case for many.

How have I dismissed them? I've even said they are good phones for the price. for e.g. mentioning the moto.

People buy what they want at the end of the day. There is no bad purchase at the end of the day.

I quoted the exact TOC here a while back, to question Apple's warranty coverage on iPhones. Many users debunked my worries. Yes, the language is a bit vague due to the lawyers, but so far I have never had any support issues for my Apple products that are in-warranty, be it when I was in the US, Singapore, or Japan. Many users here have stated the same thing. I was like you, claiming that iPhone warranty is not worldwide due to the TOC, and I was flamed down by many here, providing their own evidence and experience. And now I have experienced it myself. So there you go.

To me, no products are perfect. These phones are mass produced products. There will be ones with issues out of millions out there. Just go to any forum and you can see many people complaining about any brands, Apple or Samsung. So to me, what matters next is how the company handles it, how the company provides support for me. Apple is the winner so far, and Samsung is down there with the rest. Thus, if I want to pay something premium, I would go with Apple. If I want to buy Android, I'll go with the cheaper Chinese OEMs instead of paying premium for Samsung. Simple as that.

This was what you said:
With chinese phones? No thanks. Would much rather pay for quality than cheap phones that to me don’t impress me at all.
You were implying that since Chinese phones are "cheap," then it was implied they have lower quality.
I did agree with you on Moto, which is now owned by Lenovo, a Chinese company as well.
And yea, I've been saying this again and again, if you want to give money to Samsung, more power to you. :) So we are in agreement on that, great. Peace out.

You are not like me I have had refusals and the fact that Apples own TOC confirm this is irrefutable,

I'm not saying if you are lucky, which by your findings many seem to be, you will be serviced, but it's not a guarantee as I have found out.

I am not lucky. It is what the service is. I even checked with Apple when I was in Japan, and was confirmed about the worldwide coverage where Apple has authorized centers. Again, many users here have shared their experiences, and it is in line with what I experienced. Your refusal of service might have a reason that you are not sharing, but many have experienced worldwide support from Apple stores/authorized service centers just fine. If you believe you were treated differently, simply ping Apple support chat. They have more leniency on certain things.

There is a irrefutable clause that Apple have the right to refuse. I agree that for many this clause in the TOC is not implemented never the less it is there and some like me in certain countries bump in to this. To think otherwise is simply denial.

I agree that it's quite likely that some places use this clause to avoid the hassle of helping or a crusade against grey imports. Opposed to the probably real intent of this clause constructed by the clever Apple legal team for other reasons which may revolve around licensing and legalities of different counties frequency and broadcast laws, which is probably why the clause is not there on MACs.

A pure guess, but in the case of UAE where FaceTime is illegal if Apple repair a non UAE/Gulf spec IPhone they could be perceived to be breaking some legal clause or boundary

The clause is there in the TOC's and common practise does not change this or the fact you are not guaranteed worldwide service/repair.

OK I'll say it, the Samsungs overall are currently the best smartphones on the market. Cannot beat an s7, the Edge, or Note 5.

They fly, the displays are fantastic and the cameras are excellent. And battery life overall is more than sufficient for the majority of users.

Erm

They are better, that's not in doubt, whether or.not they are worth the premium is up to the individuals.
Me personally, I would rather pay the extra and get the best screen and camera on the market. My choice. There is a place for the cheaper Chinese phones deffo , just not for me. No fanboyism needed.
