Got it, but not particularly exciting. Does nothing more than my 160GB ATV since I don't use Netflix. In fact, I think I prefer the old interface.

FedEx just updated mine about 20 minutes ago. In just short of 24 hours it was updated with the Int'l Shipment Release. The FedEx tracking system seems to be working and the Apple TV is still in Alaska.
US Customs must have inspected that parcel very closely. The Apple TV will probably have screwdriver marks on it where Customs pried it apart to see what was inside.

Mine still says ships october 18th. Blows... I have been checking my local store (higuera street in san luis obispo) and they thought they might get them today, and then said nope and to check back tomorrow at noon when they get the shipment. Another store in Santa Barbara told me its gonna be a few weeks for them? lame
Yep, mine has said "In transit - Anchorage" for over 24 hours now. However, it should be noted that before that it said it was being held in Hong Kong for 24 hours before suddenly deciding it had been in Anchorage for a few hours. So I think it's somewhere between Anchorage and my place.
Does anyone think that demand was just so high and FedEx didnt expect it so they didn't have more flights going the past couple of days?

I don't think so. FedEx has plenty of planes and I'm sure they reallocated planes to meet the demand of one of their largest customers, Apple.
I placed an order on 9/25. My ship date shows 10/19. However, I just checked and it is now showing ships in 1-2 weeks on the US online store. 2 weeks from now is before my ship date of 10/19, so i'm hoping that it will be shipped out before then, but i don't know. In the mean time, I'm also scouring the local stores to try to pick one up before the order ships.
I called FedEx to find out why the ATVs have been in Anchorage for over a day. I was hoping I was going to be told that they were having problems with updating the package and that infact my package was already at my closest FedEx Center.
Not the case. I was told the package was still in Anchorage and was being held up in customs. But...on the plus side...I was told the package would be on its way soon and that it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow (website still shows Oct. 5th).

Well there are two flights leaving to both Indianapolis and Memphis at 630 and then again at 7. So it'll be there in plenty of time!

So if these go air to Indianapolis or Memphis or anywhere on the East Coast it's hard to believe we'll have them in hand on the West Coast tomorrow.
Well I believe there is a flight to Oakland as well. So the west coasters shouldnt have any problems.

My delivery date was still 9/30 up until a short while ago. Now there is no estimated delivery date at all.

Haha wish I was as good as him! Yeah you can use flightaware.com. The only problem is it is tough to track the FedExs for some reason. I know a lot just from being an active pilot and have some close friends that fly for FedEx.

This bums me out. I pre-ordered 9/1 at 2:21 p.m. just a few hours after the announcement. Everyone else is getting their delivery and the product is even showing up in stores, but I am still waiting.

I did go to the Apple store before I ordered online. They didn't have any, and they were clueless as to when they would be getting any!
