My Apple TV has shipped

Mine has taken a very odd path. It arrived in Memphis from Anchorage last night but has been sent back to Anchorage for INTL release:

I've got the same thing going on. I doubt it went back to Anchorage though, I think it's just some kind of delayed status update from when it was back in Anchorage. The status update that gets triggered when it leaves Anchorage is triggered by the flight time, but the Int'l release update is probably triggered when someone gets a chance to enter into a computer system that the shipment has cleared customs. They probably only do all shipments from a particular day in a big batch the day after they actually clear customs. I would bet it's still sitting in the memphis sort facility waiting to get on another plane.
 
Mine is out for delivery. Hopefully somebody will be home to receive it or I'll have to wait for tomorrow.

Being an international shipment, it must go through customs. It is not unusual for packages to clear customs 'in the air'. Alaska is the point for much of the fedex air shipments coming into the US. The actual release was done well in advance if it going to the fedex hub in Memphis, it just took longer for fedex to update the tracking info.

Looking at the tracking your package is in Memphis, and it may have made it onto the morning plane that's going to your town .... or it may not.

Mine is too, but last night I tracked the plane from Anchorage to Memphis and it landed at 1am this morning. I think Fedex is just late because I checked FlightAware and there are no flights leaving today that are Fedex...

Mine followed the very same path... but now it says it's out for delivery. It's all about the Fedex delay... same tracking experience with my iPhone 4. Once it hits Anchorage... it's on its way. Mine should be here within the hour :)
