Add in a user changeable battery and at least a MicroSD card slot (easy to do, use a system similar to the MyTouch and you don't even mess up the sleek design)

I would prefer a full SD card slot, but that might not be possible and still keep the phone thin.

What is the big deal with the OLED?...based on what I've read (and I could be wrong), is that OLED is great except when in a bright (i.e. outside) where it becomes very hard to see. I've been told that's the reason the ZuneHD adverts and demos were all done in dark environments.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but this is what i've gathered in my research...Personally i view OLED as a cool sounding feature, but if it will not benefit the end user, then it's really not a big deal...

Higher Resolution Display
Overhauled (Next Gen) OS Redesign
12 Megapixel Camera with a Bertrand Serlet lens
Apple logo Xenon flash
5x the battery life
Front facing camera built into the center of the screen
Bose speakers
2GBs of RAM and ROM
2.5 GHz processor
3G upsampling (allows 4G speeds on a 3G network)
Bluray support

You are correct, look for videos on YouTube of iPhone screen vs samsung oleds etc. The benefits are dimensions, viewing angles and power consumptions.

Sarcasm: Priceless

I love the sarcasm. Especially the part about the crappy Bose speakers.

I lol'd.

Just remember not to scratch the inside when replacing the battery and to be careful about inserting the microSD card as any damage will not be covered under warranty.

I don't think they'll make a user changeable battery. They converted their Mac Laptops to non-removable batteries and that's the first time I've heard of a computer having a non-removable battery (that and a desktop).

Actually, I don't think they like people opening up their stuff in the first place. Just look at all the hardware they have save for the old MacBook, Mac Pro, and the XServe (the last two being non regular consumer products). So I'm not sure if the microSD card would ever happen.

I never understood people giving someone a hard time for speculating on here, isn't this MacRumors? If all you want are facts then stick to the Apple live page, some of us come here to let our imaginations run wild while helping people when we can. If you don't like a post then don't comment, I think Jimeny Cricket said something that would apply nicely here.

To the OP: I like your concept but would like to see something more like 3X faster as previously stated, technology is advancing exponentially. The only thing I really don't like is the painted antenna cover, it would just scratch up and look bad. Apart from that this is solid. Some improvments I'd like to see in the next gen:

- An LED message indicator
- OS appearance refresh.
- External Flash ( I specifically like the idea of having that flash being built into the Apple Logo )

Thanks for taking the time to share.

EDIT: I thought i'd share a couple of my favorite concepts:
iphone_ultra_thin_concept.jpg
iphoneconcept6.jpg

I'd do awful things for the next iPhone to look like the mockup on the left - best one I've ever seen.

I lol'd pretty hard. How about dat dar 64 Terabyte flash drive? Just don't think I can fit my entire music library on my already more than generous capacity for a phone

What's the point of a micro sd slot? I wouldn't want that anywhere my phone, especially my new 4G 64 gig phone. It seems worthless.

My biggest wish is an enlarged screen. If the screen could be a bit bigger that would make all the difference. I think that they could drop the homescrren button for something incorperated into the screen. If they could make the screen bigger I wouldn't even mind the phone being a bit wider. Even millimeters more screen would do wonders, making the phone 10 times better than the tablet
