Generally speaking, yes, but other factors weigh in as well when they start coming up often enough. And there isn't much to dive into history in this case as most of it is in this very thread essentially.

I honestly didn’t even know what thread this was until now .

My MacBook Pro 2017 15 inch is almost a year old and mostly been on the charge when used and still has 100%

My iPhone X is around 98% according to coconut battery

Simply because MacBooks have way larger battery and therefore typically goes through less charge cycles overall. It’s the same for iPads.

WhatsApp background activity for that long?! are you checking within the last 24 hours?! My usage shows this.

Ps.

Background refresh and background activities aren’t the same in every app. WhatsApp might locally index your messages in the background but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s using the background refresh feature.

Most of the times the background refresh feature is used by news apps or social networking apps so that you can have an up-to-date feed ready to go when you launch the app again. But messaging apps use different server client protocol.
Hey , Do you charge your always on 100% or do you keep it between 20-80 ?

I don't pay attention to the battery percentage much. Just put it on charge when I can / need to.
How about battery saving tips in settings or you don’t change anything at all ? And how much usage on screen you can get form 100-20 or 30 for example ?

Thanks .

I don’t change anything and after the whole day my battery hardly ever goes below 50%. Occasionally the processor does heat up just from playing Spotify and then drains the battery faster than average but that’s not something one can control.

You don’t watch YouTube videos or you go to social media a lot that the number 1 reason that you get lot of percentage left for the rest of the day , Right ?

I watch videos but not a lot to be honest. My phone is not my primary method of consuming content other than Spotify / Apple Music.

Same logic either way. A battery is a battery. Actually my iPad Pro 10.5 before I sold it was even worse at 97% after only 6 months of light use.

Do you see the pattern here?!

I think your usage is way higher than average and you think it’s light use.
