I did a factory reset through the bootloader this morning to see if it'd remedy the battery issues but it's not looking to promising. Even at home last night, where I have -78dbm, cell standby was killing the battery.

I saw where this was going well before it began. Just like all the other Test Drive threads. You will almost never have anything near an objective opinion when you have dedicated Apple diehards "Test Driving" a Samsung device. Notice I didn't say Android device. That's not to say one should pick a Samsung device over an Apple device because someone else says so, but when the complaints are about things like a picture of an open box, or one of The Best cameras around, well.... You know the rest. Again, it's totally believable for someone to choose an iPhone over a Galaxy S or Note line. The same way one can pick Apple maps over Google maps. But you know what I mean.
How am I an apple diehard? I've owned more android devices than iphones, and have used an android device as my daily driver for longer than an ios device.

And also, I'm not complaining about the phone coming in the box the way it did, it's just an observation how the experience is.

I even said the camera is outstanding, quick charging is awesome, the device is gorgeous, it makes my 6s look like a brick. I'm trying to be objective from an iPhone users prospective. A lot of people like the iPhone because the attention to detail is there, and the software is bug and hiccup free.. relatively speaking that is.

I have a 6s+ and a Note 5 and they are really close to the same user experience. Both offer great features and neither one is bug free or hiccup free.
We have watched quite a few iphone users come into this area doing the test drive only to blast all samsung devices. We have seen it over and over again. So we sit back and kind of expect it. So maybe a lot of us are a little jaded :)
But be happy with your iphone! It's a great phone! Enjoy

Don't get me wrong, I really like android, I just greatly prefer my nexus 5 experience without all the bloat. I would love a S6 edge with stock android.

The thing about stock Android though is it is featureless. It is pretty plain. I had the Nexus 6P and the phone is great and marshmallow is awesome. But it lacks some of the basic features you would expect from a premium handset.

I actually like the simplicity. There could certainly be more features but the tradeoff for performance over something like touchwiz is worth it to me.

What performance gain is there? Certainly better ram management on a Nexus phone but that is all. How does that affect the way you use your phone? It really only affects small segment of users. I used my N5 and 6P together and they both were equally just as fast and performed great. The battery life was pretty equal with maybe a nod to my N5. But the Nexus phone's battery was 450 mAh larger so it should get better battery life than the N5 running TW. But that didn't play out in real world usage. The N5 running TW with a smaller battery has better battery life than the Nexus 6P with a larger battery running stock Android....go figure. :)

The infamous touchwiz lag, and of course the horrendous ram management.

Actually, stock Android I think is best for users who are switching from an iPhone. Stock Android is simple and don't have tons of features that can get overwhelming...which is similar to the iPhone. The iPhone does not have tons of features, just the basic that it does very well. I.e. calling, texting, social media.
A user switching to Android would find the transition much easier on stock Android vs a skinned manufacturers version.

you know though......you can find anything you want on the internet if you look hard enough.
I can find videos of iphone lag too :)

Well of course.. every phone lags sometimes. I never said iphones don't lag. You just said your note doesn't lag yet I can easily get my s6 edge plus to lag.

I can get any phone to lag, just run chrome with 15 tabs open and then run Google hangouts on top of safari....this will lag a iPhone 6s plus and a galaxy edge plus ...both of those phones lag similarly but you rarely see it at all in normal use.

You must he doing something major, I've never experienced what I would call lag on mine.. it just does what I ask when I ask.. the ram thing isnt an issue cos there's so much of it..

My Note 5 and Edge+ weren't laggy at all. I actually prefer the new Touchwiz over stock Android. Stock Android (Nexus devices) are missing features that should already be included.

I was telling you that I don't have lag on my Note 5....you posted a video to show how validate your statement. I posted videos to prove that your iphone lags. Truth is i didn't say anything about your experience. I just shared my experience just like you did.

Every time I try to add a geofilter on snapchat the phone lags out and the app crashes. I lost a cool moment I was going to send to my friend yesterday when the app crashed.

That is Snapchat fault. It behaves weird on EVERY Android device. You can't blame a device for a crappy coded app.
