Sorry to hijack op but I got my edge+ today and I love it. Touchwiz has really changed even since the note 4, either that or the extra ram has nailed the issues I used to see. Everything seems so smooth with no real hiccups. I haven't paired the gear s2 classic up to it yet but I think I'm going to sell the 6s plus now

I am also testing a Note 5 and will admit am an Apple Fanboy. I am impressed so far with the Note 5, as I love the screen, the feel/quality of the phone and the availability to take simple notes with the pen.

The biggest negative is that I wish I could put iOS on it though, as I do not really care for Android. Also - if I were to choose the Note 5, I assume there is no way to take pics and have them go to all my iCould devices or synch my iCloud calendars with Android.

Sorry iCloud is a proprietary app from Apple. They won't let you use it on Android. But you can use an app called Dropbox. It will let you have the option to have all of your pictures uploaded to dropbox automatically as they are taken. Then you can install dropbox on all of your Apple devices. You can access all of your pictures on your MacBook or iMac or iPad. You can even share them will loved ones so they can see the pictures as well.

Thanks - I do use Dropbox, but still much easier to use iCloud, as that is what our family uses and prefer iCloud much better. I also recently purchased a Surface Pro 4 (probably not keeping that either) and Apple makes an iCloud app that does sync calendars, emails, contacts and photo's with our Apple products. So, interesting they do that for Windows, but not Android.

It will be easier to just keep my iPhone and the things the the Note 5 does well, does not make up for the things that Apple does well and their iOS

You could. But not through iCloud.

I have bunch of Android phone and iPhone 6S and some iPads.

For pictures, I have Google Photos setted up. Every photo I took went straight to Google Photos and I can access all my photo from anywhere anytime.

For Calendar event, I sync through Google account as well.

UPDATE: it seems that iClould is fine for you and that is great. However, I am not willing limit myself to iOS and Apple's ecosystem. I like to move between devices to devices. So no iCloud for me.

Extremely brief update... will go into more depth later.

After having the phone for a few weeks here are my updated thoughts.

I was in LA for some time and used the S6E+ mainly for navigation and it was pretty great. It managed to last 3-4 hours of google maps navigation everyday which is pretty solid in my book. Other than that, 'cell standby' is still the main killer for the battery everyday. I cannot figure out why considering I almost always have really solid reception. It'll drain 10%+ overnight most of the time.

On VZW coverage versus AT&T, it's a coin toss. Sometimes AT&T is better and sometimes VZ is better. In the canyons in Malibu, I was struggling for reception with VZ however, whereas I still had 4g with AT&T. Heck, I was eating at a place off PCH and I couldn't get a signal with VZ which surprised me considering it's a pretty populated area.

On to the phone. The edge screen is annoying sometimes when typing. Sometimes it'll register a touch from the edge when holding it and it won't let me type or use the screen. Some touch-rejection software would be useful in the future. I do notice a difference in screen resolution when looking at small content, there is so much more detail versus my 6s.

There is no denying touchwiz is so much better than it used to be. I'm hoping even more slimming down will take place when marshmallow comes out for the S6 phones.

Just got the Note 5 today on this test drive - I had no idea it comes with an activated sim card!

That's great of Samsung.

I will say that - right off the bat the battery is weak compared to my 6s Plus.

However, quick charging times are great...
