Hehe, I love that skit. Any time I hear something about techno, I think about it. I actually had it as a ringtone for a while.

Among my faves are Techno, Caffeine, and of course Virus ("All right Edgar, now drop a TRAIN on 'em!").

I was playing "Everybody To The Limit" on my car stereo one time at a Sonic restaurant. The carhop went, "Dude! I know that s***!" He was genuinely surprised that someone fifteen years older than him would have any idea about HSR.

Some friends and I discovered HSR years ago and instantly loved it. We would get some really weird looks when calling people "fhqwhgads". We also loved TROGDOR THE BURNINATOR, since we were all RPG nerds. I still have a Trogdor shirt.

Unfortunately, I think it's "jumped the shark." IMHO, the "jump" moment was SBEmail 200, where the Poopsmith broke his longstanding vow of silence just to sing some goofy intro song. There's been very sparse new material since.

Of course, the appearance of Peacey P in stuff beyond Teen Girl Squad among other self-referential jokes was sort of a ramp to the shark-jumping.

Then again, if I had the chance, I'd change my MacRumors username to "Lyricbolical," if someone hasn't used it yet. :D

I need your help

I'm in desperate need of your help. I heard a song this summer at a Dance/Lounge/Club in Paris called Club Indiana. The song had a music video attached to it that was playing on all of the screens throughout the club, however, neither myself nor my friends remember the artist, song, video thematics, etc. We suspect the channel playing the song/video could have been MTV France, but we're still unsure.

ANYWAY, the song had a distinct, "relaxed" vibe with whistling in the chorus. It's not PB&J nor "The Whistle Song." We believe it to be fairly new. I've attached a REALLY rough interpretation of the chorus comprised of a terrible Apple drum loop and my own, pathetic rendition of the whistle in question.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

HA! :D Yes of course... well typically I would but my mic is all wonky =[ *sigh* perhaps this is a lost cause and I'll just have to stumble upon it someday!

Excuses! You're just having a ball watching all of these people post random/similar stuff lol.

WTF is that JUNK! LMAO! Thanks I needed that laugh.

PS: to the op, why didn't you just use your cellphone to record you whistling or fake whistling the track?! Upload that? Better yet why didn't you use Shazaam or SoundHound on your iPhone/smartphone?

I went through this ops EXACT predicament when I was a kid.
A few friends and I used to goto a local record shop downtown. I miss going to it. It was great because House was still new years ago and we where all from different walks-of-life but all enjoying House.

The funniest was Dwayne. Imagine a classic Rocker fan from the 80's (super tight jeans, long hair, scruffy face, leather jacket with studds, the works). The best was hearing him hum a tune for 3mins straight and watching the DJ behind the counter try so desperately to not laugh. This guy NEVER smiled for anything trivial; it had to be big or nothing. The DJ, Tyrone Solomon of Toronto (used to work at StarSound Record store on Yonge just south of College, North side) pissed himself laughing and all Dwayne could do we star at him straight with eyebrows lifted as if to ask "Do you know this track man?! I have to have it"

Dwayne walked out with a FREE 12" & remix of that track ... I think i was Tricky Disco ... imagine a crazy newphie humming THAT tune with a Metallica rockers' voice; pure fun. Dwayne was awesome!

It's got whistling in it, but it's not the Whistle Song and it's not that other song by Newton... it's really popular in European clubs, and it's definitely a couple years old... anyone know?

The Whistle Song by Frankie Knuckles ... that is pure House not techno so i understand you being direct in saying that is NOT it; still an awesome classic house track.

You made me think of the Dutch Singer Herman Van Veen:
http://youtu.be/LXPCR5JgJUg
But.... that's no house/techno

I was also thinking 'bout another song but I also don't know the name. I have it somewhere... I'll post it when I've found it

uhm...it's kinda hard on here, but my best bet would be the part with the actual whistling - and it's not real whistling, it's definitely synthesized to sound like whistling: da DUM da dumdum [andddd this is repeated... the caps mean the notes go up significantly]. This is basically the "chorus" of the song.

Believe it or not but I know own which song you mean and I am also looking for it. Remember listening to it when I was still living in South Africa. I believe it is on one for the various bump cd. It goes something like. Duti duti duti duti do toeroeroeroeroe du toeroeroeroeroe to etc.

I was looking for 'the whistle song', and found this forum, might this be what you are looking for? The Sunclub - Fiesta:

I guess 10 years after I got your answer. It's THE RIDDLE by Gigi d'Agostino! I hope you get this, let me know if you do
