Yes it was. Glad to see USC win as Brian Kelly will never get rid of that ND stench.

Yeah I am going to have to figure some things out since ESPN has been taken off DirecTV in a carriage dispute.
same.

I got to see the Italian GP Sunday morning then it was gone later that day.

DTV streamer since ‘22 so advise what your workaround is.

So far, nothing.

I am good on the NFL until the 16th (first MNF game is on ABC). And there are enough college games on CBS, FOX etc. to give me something to watch.

After that though if nothing looks like it is happening, I will suspend my DirecTV account and sub to Youtube TV until it is resolved or football season ends.

I use my antenna for local channels and that at least allows me to watch *something*, but it blows my mind that I can't pay, say, $10/month for ESPN. I have ESPN+ through a Disney package, but not plain old ESPN. And then I see that the USC/LSU game is on ESPN+ and think, finally! But no, I'm in London for work. Not allowed to watch it there (VPN to the rescue)! Sigh...I'll likely just pull the trigger on YouTube TV, but at $73/month after paying for my internet connection, how is this any better than our old cable days? I thought the goal was a la carte pricing...

I know I'm preaching to the choir. ;)

And what the heck is happening to FSU???

Has college football ceded Thursday night to the NFL? I remember when there used to be decent games on Thursday night. Now it seems those games have been moved to Friday and we get G5 games. Don't get me wrong, I love my MACtion on Tuesdays and Wednesdays late in the season, but how about a semi-marquee game on Thursday.

"The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated"
-Pac 12 Conference

Mountain West schools Boise, Colorado, San Diego and Fresno States to join Oregon and Washington States in 2026. Kind of explains why the conferences couldn't agree on a schedule cooperation deal beyond this year.

Maybe with all that money flying around, they can afford to spend some on new stationery and rebrand the conference with a number that more accurately reflects the number of teams.

And they still have to find two more members to satisfy the NCAA minimum before the grace period expires.

Go Ducks! Number 2 in their new division. Last nights game was rather boring as the blew up Purdue but a win is a win. The big game was beating Ohio State the week before. What a game!

Congrats on your Ducks being ranked #1 in the polls. Having said that, I disagree slightly with the overall rankings - specifically, the top 10. I think it should be as follows:

1. Oregon
2. Georgia
3. Tennessee
4. Texas
5. Miami
6. Penn State
7. Ohio State
8. BYU
9. Iowa State
10. Clemson

The expanded playoff will be fun. With home games! I H-A-T-E neutral site games of any kind.

Agreed! I cannot wait to see an opponent come into The Shoe, Ohio State's stadium, in December! I truly think it is going to be a shock for the southern and west coast programs! Like you, I despise neutral site games as well!

The only good thing about the new rules and what not in college football is the expanded playoff. NIL and especially the Transfer Portal are ruining the sport.

They’re the highest ranked 2 loss team. They’ve got to pay for the Vandy loss.

The TN loss is what bumped down... the Vandy loss, while it hurt, didn't bump them down this far.

I have a feeling as a Bama fan, we are going to see some dark years ahead... something along the lines that followed the 1992 win and Mr. Stallings eventual retirement a few years later.

I hope you're right! Even if we are heavily favored, I start getting nervous about Wednesday.

I hear you. I’m the same way with regard to Miami. It’s bad enough they are arguably the most recognized brand in college football, but they also have well-documented history and therefore, there’s always a target on their back. Now that they’re currently ranked 5th in the polls, the remaining teams on its schedule will be bringing their A+ game.

Here in Florida (at least for Miami, Florida State and the University of Florida), it’s championship or bust. That’s the mindset of both players and fans and it’s been like that for decades.

Not sure the remaining teams on their schedule have an A+ game. LOL

I am the same way as you guys with my Buckeyes! I always start getting nervous/amped up around Thursday. Every team brings their A+ game against us, every week!

I mean, massive game this weekend against #3 Penn State, and we are ranked #4! To me it is a must win game (I know it is not to get in the playoff) because we want to reclaim a B1G Championship and if we lose, that likely goes out the window. We still have Indiana coming up, and they are no joke of a team!

Anyway…O-H!
