I hear you. I’m the same way with regard to Miami. It’s bad enough they are arguably the most recognized brand in college football, but they also have well-documented history and therefore, there’s always a target on their back. Now that they’re currently ranked 5th in the polls, the remaining teams on its schedule will be bringing their A+ game.

Here in Florida (at least for Miami, Florida State and the University of Florida), it’s championship or bust. That’s the mindset of both players and fans and it’s been like that for decades.
I don’t know how Miami get recruits when their game atmosphere is so inferior to every major program. The stadium is not only off campus, but is nowhere near campus. It’s just very…dull. As for this year, their schedule is such a joke. If they were in the SEC they’d have 1 or 2 loses by now.

Florida is a football state. The U, FSU, Florida, UCF, USF, FIU, FAMU and BCU historically have had great success in attracting talented players. As for Miami, it’s brand, history, region, the conference and the availability to be on TV are still great selling points. Add to that the coach and a slew of hall of fame players who regularly visit the team and offer advice and wisdom, it’s easy to see why a recruit would pick Miami.

Kids today are all about getting exposure and what better way to get it by sporting the uniform of arguably the most recognizable brand in all of sports?

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Most recognizable brand in all of SPORTS? Take a step back there homer!

I've seen the pictures of the half empty Hard Rock stadium at kick off THIS YEAR. It's a terrible atmosphere.
