I hardly think it's fair to call someone uneducated just because they don't consider Macs PCs. Whether you like it or not, the term "PC" has come to mean "Windows." What ther're really comparing is the operating systems. You dont hear the word windows though, you hear PC. And last I checked that was short for Personal Computer, pretty big umbrella I think.
They dont discuss specific features in software or hardware, just capabilities. It's completely an emotional sell, (But what isnt right?),
