Do you hold the same anger that Apple also divides society on wealth? That they aim their products at different price tiers? Or is it ok to be rich, just not coloured?First of all, not true. Second of all, this has nothing whatsoever to do with black people, it has to do with dividing groups of people, ethnicities, races, into blocs, for what amounts to commercializing or monetization.
I've commented many times about my wish to see Apple drop this and the Pride month product line and move to charity products or causes for a cure.
What those that are bothered by our opposition need to stop is automatically trying to make this about race and calling opponents, let's see, what have we heard in here today...."bigot", "racist", "turd", "hateful", akin to "cancer". So who has gotten loudest about it in here? Who seems triggered?
Sure. Say Company A wants to create a "White Unity" widget, because they believe that Caucasians should unify for say, a system of values or what have you, that Whites believe in. Now I think most people would naturally say that Whites aren't of the same mind and "unity" without specifics, is a nebulous term. Also, we know based on recent past that any group that specifically chooses to offer exclusivity to Whites is attacked viciously and labeled all sorts of things. There's lots and lots of ethnicities and if everybody got celebrated, no problem, but picking and choosing who gets the goodies is divisive and smacks of pandering at best.
The pride stuff is just silly. We're supposed to celebrate, for a month, someone's same-sex attraction? I'm very libertarian on most issues and I fully support gay marriage and living your life as you want, but do we need government or corporate celebration of people that are just same-sex attracted? It's just bizarre, it would be like having a holiday for left-handed people and the entities that are involved seem to push it into everything. Advertisements, social media, etc., and for what? Is it solving some problem? No. Not everything NEEDS a holiday or NEEDS a celebration. Society has gotten very immature and every group feels as though they're special and deserve to be recognized as such. They're not. We're all Americans here in the US and it would be nice if instead of trying to be in this intersectional group or that intersectional group, people started thinking more macro level.
Maybe just maybe, you might want to be open minded enough to realise not everything has to be a left vs right thing and if you immediately go to that space, maybe the real problem is not with others.

Congratulations then, here’s your corporate and government sanctioned product and month. That apparently makes everything ok.Emphasis mine. I wonder why that is? Not like Apple is giving anyone anything ever - these sport bands are $50 a pop, but that's not really what's bugging you is it?
We celebrate black unity because of the American history of slavery and segregation. We celebrate pride because of the American history of oppression and inequal rights. As a self-identified libertarian, you should understand these struggles. These celebrations are of our history, a history Americans overcoming systemic and social oppression.

See how pointless this stuff is now?
That is a HORRIBLE analogy. Dylan, I think this has run its course and we can just agree to disagree. You have a good evening.Suppose you're not thrilled with our Independence Day cause of all the merch that gets made for it, huh? I wonder what you personally think is worth celebrating
I love to always ask those who say these things to elaborate because if they do, the mask comes off real quick, I can see the dude didn't reply to you yet!I fail to see how products like this and the pride stuff create division. Mind elaborating on that?
thanks, my massage was for pointing out greedI tend to agree.
what a good point! please complain to the moderators about thisweren't you done with Apple? Why are you still around then?![]()
Here comes the reason why this announcement was relegated to the Political section:You conveniently are leaving the word before that out, which doesn't appeal to everyone. I get what you're saying, but this is targeted and I'm not keen on that. It also demeans the group and assumes they all think alike and should be as one. I oppose all division into groups, I treat people as individuals, which is why I suggested Apple do bands for charities or causes for a cure. Unity is nebulous.
What happened to the B's and Q's?Lmao LGTV+
Totally stealing that 😂
Unfortunately, the USA is still obsessed with race, so not everyone has shut up yet.
A classic 80s BMW does that work?If polished chrome isn’t white enough for you then Apple has this lilly white band for you:

And if you need just the right watch face you can add pictures of something old and German to suit your requirements… 😉
Just stick whatever letters in there you want. It probably describes something that someone does. And if it doesn't yet it will eventually. What happened to the B's and Q's?![]()
The most annoying thing about Apple wallpapers and watch faces is you cannot remove any of the ones you do not want on your own personal device. Sure you can ignore whatever Apple preinstalls on their devices that cannot be removed, but why not give the owner of the device a choice on what they want on their phone/watch/iPad? I know, reasons...
I agree you don't have to use the wallpapers, but you should be able to remove them from your device.
What do you mean by "cannot remove them from your device"? I had to install this face on my watch -- it wasn't installed without my input, and I can remove it from my watch any time I want.I'd remove all of them, if I could.
I've used modular since the series 3. only changed it when they discontinued the older modular face, but then just mostly matched the new one to the old.
Hm. It doesn't look attractive in the promo ad but looks quite appealing when it is on a person's wrist.
