how to log out from facebook messenger

just go to application manager select the app u will see a clear data option select it. It will work, regards

Isn't there a "not me" type of link on that continue page that could then be tapped to login as a different person?

There is, but unfortunately even if you hit "switch account" it then allows you to hit continue and it takes you right back to a "continue as insert name". :mad:

If I use the switch account link it takes me to a login screen where I have to fill in a username and password of the account I want to use before I can continue and login.

Yes, me too. However, if you don't fill in a username/password when it takes you to that login screen and instead hit your phone's home button, when you tap back and return to Messenger it once again shows the "Log on as 'your' name" and without inserting any password takes you right back into your Messenger. Very frustrating, I pretty much give up. I don't understand why they can't do a simple log off, particularly for the iPad.

Log out from new fb messageru on iPhone

image.jpglol. I finally figured it out. All you need do is click on 1. settings 2. Privacy & Terms. 3. More Resources. 4. Platform. 5. Click on your profile pic on the top right corner and then scroll down to choose log out. After that close the app and open agin. It will ask you to switch.

I hope you like this.

Sounds fairly similar to simply using the Data Use Policy section.

Anyone see a way to log out of your account and in to another one with the new FB Messenger app released today? Can't find it anywhere (and it's not like there's a lot of places to look!).

Anyone :confused:

Go into settings on iPhone. On the first screen scroll down the page to the messenger icon. Tap on it and then turn off 'use cellular data.' Messenger then cannot access 2G/3G etc so it is as if you're offline

Not quite logging out, and certainly won't do much as far as being able to log in with a different user (which is what was being asked about).

In any case, a number of log out methods have already been covered.

I found a solution for log out :D

1- In messenger app go to setting then click on "Privacy&Terms"
Picture --> 1.png
2- As you can see in picture 2.png click on menu
3- Then in button of menu click on "log out"
picture --> 3.png
4- Now, you logged out from your account, so close the app and run it again and log in with another account :D

:)

Well, this is tricky :D

simply open your Facebook app, click settings, scroll down and click on account settings, then scroll down again and click security, then you'll be taken to another page scroll down to active sessions and recognised devices click on both of them, once you remove all the active sessions, do the same with recognised devices. Then You'll be logged out of the messenger app.

Hold the icon until it shakes ... then click the x that appears. Then never use it again. :)

Honestly though, it's so ridiculous that a multi-billion dollar mega company can't give simple access to a log out button.

Hasn't all this been already covered earlier in the thread? What is it with digging up old thrads just to post the same thing that has already been posted multiple times before from even years back?

Best practice is not to upgrade application too early. Sometimes they come with new added bugs and being tested or in beta stage you may not aware or developer do not want to disclose about. I ussually do not update apps unless it does not allow me to use application.
