Guess why they are the only two removable apps?

They're from the App Store (at least that's what I noticed on mine).

You should use the nightly Chromium builds...much more stable on Mac OS X Lion.

Those still crash for me. Sometimes I can't even quit Chromium and I need to Force Quit the damned thing.

I just hate it when I have multiple tabs open and it just crashes when I close just one tab. And I have the same problem in Chromium as I have in Safari - sometimes the ad blocker and some other extensions don't work.
Tried removing all extensions and installing them one by one and it still had problems.

I have updated the social browser built on the Chromium platform , called Rockmelt and it crashes after loading so I wonder what the problme is I tried to get in touch with Rockmelt but got no reply as of yet.

iCal actually looks pretty good to me. *shrug*

Why can't you keep your laptop open whilst using an external display as the main display (with the laptop screen turned off). Once you open the laptop it goes into dual screen mode whether you like it or not.

Same here. Tried reaching out on twitter and through their email. Nothing yet.

Hi guys,

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but is there any news about resolution independence support in Lion?

Thanks :)

Hi guys,

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but is there any news about resolution independence support in Lion?

Thanks :)

Sorta is, and isn't. you know, i'm pretty sure that Resolution independence is primarily being used by apple in iOS, for the iPhone's Retina display. Aside from old people, and those with bad eyesight, i honestly think that RI has no real use for people runnning a desktop/laptop, unless Displays with an extremely high DPI exist, and it becomes a problem to click on controls.

Snow Leopard does that too when trying to browse your Boot Camp partition..is that what the other volume is for you?

I've noticed this issue since the second DP, and not in NFTS volumes. It's odd. Hasn't happened since the second DP2 update via Software Update… often… I filed a bug report with Apple…

I have solved the problem related to crashes of TextEdit and Preview on DP2. Like I had suspected it was indeed related to Dropbox, namely the use of an alias for the Downloads folder in /users/~/. The alias pointed to the Downloads folder, which sits inside my Dropbox folder. When I replaced the alias in /users/~/ with a new folder called "Downloads", TextEdit and Preview would run without issues. So, to me it looks like that whatever is saved to in /users/~/Library/Containers/com.apple.TextEdit / cannot handle aliases.

Could you please be more specific? I have this problem but I don't get it how you solved this problem, what alias are you talking about? I don't have any alias in my /users/~/ folder.

I would really appreciate your help, thanks.

New Terminal minimized window

Im pretty sure this is new, but not sure if anyone mentioned it. The style of a minimized terminal window on the dock is new.

I won't get a chance to get this installed for a few days but one of the things I noticed about the new version of Safari was that if you dragged a picture from Safari onto your desktop or a folder that it would create a link rather than downloading the picture to that folder. Can anyone with DP2 confirm this is still the case?

Is Safari still buggy as feck? Can you drag images out and not have them be .weblocs? Is google maps working properly without tile distortions/not loading?

I had the same issue with DP1, but it's back to normal with DP2

One bug I found,

When I set the brightness to 0 the screen goes black, but a few seconds later it goes on again and stays like that, when I touch any key it goes to 0 brightness once again.
This happened in DP1 and still happens in DP2

I've started noticing some Aperture problems. When I open Aperture the title bar will still say whatever previous app I was using (i.e. iChat, Safari) and it runs really buggy.

I have updated Lion Preview 2 . When i insert any dvd disk or movie,it asks me to shut down the computer manually using power button .

ANY EXPERIENCE

This happens to me also, even when the computer's screen is off, when it turns on I have to force turn off the computer manually. I have not found any solution yet.

Yet another bug:
System Information incorrectly shows my 15" MBP with HR display as a 17".

I've been using OSX Lion 10.7 DP2 for a couple days, so far love it, only experienced crash with Speed Download, nothing else, quite stable..

I have to say though that the Full Screen feature is a bit of a gimmick, I've never found a moment where I found it useful, at least not yet..

My favourite feature by far is the Launchpad, although its too bad you cannot assign a keyboard or mouse shortcut, also would be nice if you could remove applications from the launchpad, sometimes uninstallers show up, and all it does is clutter things..

The animations are beautiful, as far as performance goes though I haven't really noticed any improvement, also I've found that OSX Lion uses more memory then Snow Leopard, which sucks :p

No more slider controls. It's a clearer button type control now.
