New iPhone by March '10?

Same here. Wish it would come around quicker though, especially as my husband has had the 3gs since launch.


This is the longest I've ever had a phone. Although I still love it, I want to be wowed again.
 
I to will be in a position that I cant wait till June Or July. I have a company paid cell. and we are reducing the number of cells from 18 to 5. The nice thing, is I am able to move the plan from Sprint over to ATT, but the Sprint contract is over in mid March. So this has to happen then

The move to ATT, is my chance to get an IPhone finally. I will have to pay the cost of the phone, which is fine by me. But it has to happen in mid March, so looks like I am screwed for a Iphone 4th gen.

1+ or email steve ask him to move it up a few months for you. I am sure he will be happy to do it.
 
you could do 1 of 2 things.. u can either find a friend that has an old phone that they will let you use. and switch to att. That way you still have your upgrade pricing available when the new iphone comes out..

Yea i still have my white 3g, i bit my tongue for the 3gs BUT it was free since i flipped my edge iphone on ebay :)

But like you said, it works....so i'm not rushing out till the next gen drops.

Might pick up a cheap 3gs for my gf and sell my 3g when that happens

HD = 720p so there's no way there'll be an "HD" phone (not to say they won't call it HD, and just say it has HD video recording). 480p widescreen is way more likely. Also I think the update may be a little earlier this year, possibly May but if not, June is when it has historically been announced/ released.
 
I wouldn't be too concerned about shenaniganz08. Like I say, I've come across him before and he's not a particularly pleasant guy. Testimony from someone on the MSIWind.net forums:

Back on topic; all the signs point to a Summer iPhone release. I work for a major network in the UK and we knew literally nothing official about the 3GS launch until the day after WWDC '09. I wouldn't be surprised if it comes in July which just happens to coincide with my birthday! :D hoping for OLED screen of higher res as well as HD video recording and output
 
Apple announce iPhones in June

Which causes a problem for Apple.

Because customers know about June and consequently no one is dumb enough to buy an iPhone in May. They stop buying and start waiting.

The 3GS was a minor update. And the next phone is supposed to be a little more updatey. So if a shiny new model is good to go, why wait a full year? It's not in the rule book.

Perhaps Apple might bring forward the launch to eliminate the "month of zero sales" problem?

Soz, just emoted rage in me when I saw firstly his name, and secondly the post which confirmed it was who I thought it was :eek:
 
I dunno, but I hope it

shoots video in Panavision,
has HD, with a high-capacity DVR,
has FLIR, with a nice HUD,
has a sideward-facing camera,
knows what/who I want to play/call/do before I do,
works acceptably well underwater,
and
serves as a truly effective aphrodisiac.

I also have some less realistic hopes, but I figure the above list is the least Apple should give us.
 
No sooner than July. The iPhone has been released no sooner than a week (3GS) following the WWDC for three years, it most likely won't be any different for the 4th iteration. It was four weeks between the 2008 WWDC and the release of the iPhone 3G. I say July 9th or 16th.
