Why do people post crap like iPhone killer. No were does Motoral even talk about being an iPhone killer. Hell I seen article after article that has the head lines iPhone killer and yet no where out side of the title is the iPhone even talked about......

Looks to be targeted mostly at the teen age-range.

But that's an important market. This looks like a great move from Motorola, who needs something like this.

It's running android... I've got both a G1 and iPhone 3G. My G1 is just a paper weight, to be honest. Hardly an iPhone killer.

Yes it does look MESSY! These companies try to hard *sigh* while Apple knows how to market and re-invent simple things that are easy to use. Seriously, it's much harder do that than throw a bunch of crap into a phone.

The "iPhone Killer" approach has come and gone, now its more of an "App Store Killer" market. But yes, the phone looks bad.

Has anybody taken a look at the new Nokia N900 running Maemo 5?

I think Nokia is on to something here...;)

I saw that Youtube video last week. If the actual phone is as good as they make it seem, then it could be some good equal competition for Apple. Apple was first to market and already has 30 million people worldwide signed up and has already established the App Store, iTunes, and so on. So Nokia has an uphill battle, but the N900 sure does look like it is going to be a cool phone. :)
I'm optimistic because competition is good for consumers; it drives companies to innovate and keep coming up with new things. If something comes out that is better than the iPhone, everyone should be glad because it will mean that we all have an even better device. Then Apple will respond by coming out with their own challenge to that new product. And then the cycle repeats, and the devices keep getting better and better. Competition is a very good thing.

Honestly I wasn't expecting it to be what it is thought it was going to be worse. Congrats on motorola for trying to keep up.

Calling a phone iPhone killer makes it flop all together (see Storm, Pre, and Voyager). I would like to call this a very capable Android phone.

Motorola is on a verge of collapse if it doesn't revitalize soon, and not having Moto in the competition means others can slack (not they will, but people do loose incentive)

So for all mean, I would like to call this a very capable phone and that is has a promising future.

Motorola seems that it can't replicate the RAZR's success.

like a previous poster mentioned, nobody called it an iphone killer. the OP just likes to make threads every time a new smartphone comes out with "iphone killer" in the title to get attention.

Even if it does "kill" existing iPhones, what do you think will happen when Apple come out with the iPhone 4G with 4G network support, multitasking and a less intrusive notification system?
