Ditched the case for this skin from Slickwraps today. Couldn't help it

I ditched my Storm Gray case in favor of the Caudabe Sheath in black. The phone feels a lot slimmer and has more grip. Also the bottom is protected! I'd recommend it if you're looking for something slimmer.

Has anyone noticed if this case had made marks on the phones actual buttons for those who have used it for awhile? I wasn't sure what material the inside of the buttons (direct contact with phone) were made of soft or hard as to whether it would mark the anodized surfaces with use.

It will not make any marks or wear out your buttons or anything.

my drops with the 6 plus with the apple leather case only resulted in the leather being scratched a bit. Hopefully you haven't dropped it yet with the sheath, but i'm wondering for those with previous experience how it holds up in those cases.

still rockin the jet black naked...living dangerously a la austin powers.

It has a soft padding on the inside of the buttons. Zero marks to the device.

This is the state of my case. Had it since the first weekend. I believe the horizontal marks in the leather may just be artifacts from the poor calf that the leather came from.

Would love to see the condition of all your cases as of now.:)

Here is my saddle brown after 6 weeks. It gets tossed into bags, car seats, and desks, so it has a number of slight indentations/ scratches aka patina. I'm happy with the way it is aging. The diagonal streaks are part of the original leather.

I have the same for the 7 plus. Getting dark patina on the sides as I hold it, made it really grippy and feels really good.

Sprayed 3 coats of this (would have preferred to use Jason marks 'repel' but didn't have any at the moment) on the case. Don't know if it'll prevent the case from stains or whatever. Did it as more of an experiment for the macrumors community. Will check back in a few days with progress on the wear.

Did this prevent anything? I got a red leather case for cheap and had it in my 6plus and ended up staining pretty bad

I've only had this case for 4 days...hasn't been rubbed on anything. Is this normal wear?

That's a lot more wear than what's on mine and I've had it for three weeks now. You also seem to have a lot of dark rub marks on the sides. Maybe you are wearing tight dark jeans that is causing the marking to happen?

Did you use any oils to darken the leather at all or is that natural darkening?

So, What color looks nicest on the matte black iPhone. Black or Saddle Brown?

I really like the saddle brown on my matte black 7+.

I also tried it on a silver/white iP7 and that looked great too.

I have the black silicone case too for my 7+ but when it's on it doesn't really look like much at all. The Saddle brown has more fashion/style to it for sure.

Natural. My hands can get oily sometimes if I touch my face? Lol
