I bought the saddle brown case for my matte black 7 plus. My case has started to darken on the back and edges. It looks very nice and several people have made very positive comments on the combination. @powerocool your pictures are excellent. Thanks for posting them.

Looks like my new, 3rd replacement case has the infamous creaking on the lower left corner. Everything else is fine over the first two.

I know a few have had the creaking. Did it eventually go away as the leather breaks in?

Honestly this is one of the reasons I have given up on the leather cases. I have always liked them but there are just too many inconsistencies. Creaking is present on all that I tried. Lens cutouts crooked. Uneven volume buttons. It's a bit of my OCD as well. Also, they are not waterproof. I'm sticking with the silicone. I'll deal with the lint, but will miss the leather.

Matte Black iPhone 7 Plus with Saddle Brown Leather Case
I've darkened the leather with a layer of coconut oil spread throughout the case. Left it to dry for 15mins before using a hair dryer to get the job done up.

P/S: photos were taken via macbook pro front camera
That looks nice. I think I like your idea better than the espresso bean method. I darkened my tan case with espresso beans a couple weeks ago, but I still haven't used it because the coffee smell bothers me. It's not that I don't like the smell of coffee; it's just that I don't want a scented phone.

I hear ya. It's not so much about OCD, but these things aren't cheap (almost 55 bucks with tax). I guess with the price we are paying I expect the case to be near perfect.

I wouldn't care so much if it was a 10,15,or 20 dollar case, but for half a Benjamin.....?

How is the storm grey case holding up after sometime? Anyone?

Here you go. Didn't have another camera with me so had to take my phone out of the case. It's wearing in nicely. It has darkened but not too much.i think the lip and the comers of the case receive the most contact on a daily basis, but looks pretty good.

Thanks for the pictures!
Is it really that dark in real life, it looks just about black?

I've had the storm grey case on my previous 6 plus, and it basically turns to a black color after a while. I really liked it as a grey.
I would not get that color again, unless one can clean it religiously.

My brother saw my nomad case and liked it so I ordered 1 of each color.

Nomad Brown, Apple Storm Gray, Nomad Gray, Nomad Gray (my current case), Nomad BlueView attachment 667903

He ended up not liking any of them. The Nomad Gray really varies. 1 is more gray while the other is more black. I'm planning to return my Nomad Gray and keeping either the Nomad Blue or the Nomad real Gray. The blue is definitely more shiny than the gray. I'm leaning more towards the gray because I like how rugged it looks and it's also more matte than shiny.

There is just something about the blue that I just can't see myself using. I can't explain it.

In certain lighting conditions, the Nomad real gray looks very similar in color to the Apple storm gray.

where to get the Gray Nomad ?
there's no options to choose the colours on Nomad page.
and also, is the nomad compatible with a full coverage 3d tempered glass ?
i know the official apple leather case does, as i use my 6s plus with an saddle brown apple leather case and iMos 3D full coverage temepered glass.

A few saddle brown photos for your enjoyment.

hi, i want to ask about something,
in your pictures, the apple logo on the apple leather case looks so sharp, i myslef have been using the saddle brown apple leather case on my 6s plus for 1 year and the apple logo it's kind of very very subtle.

so in the newer apple leather case , is the apple logo on he back as been changed ? cause in some pictures i still see it same like the old one, seem very subtle, but in some photos like this one, it looks so sharp.

I have the product red case and for me, the logo looks very sharp.

Lighting wasn't the best. Its fairly dark but not black. It's kind of like the old space gray color but slightly darker. I'm sure it'll get darker and darker with each week of use.

I didn't realize it was that common. I bought three different colors and one creaked in the bottom left corner. Apple replaced it. I just had to print out a prepaid label. You have about 45 days to return. I dislike the feel of the silicone, so I stick with the leather. Never had any problems with them the past few years until the creaking this year.

I've always bought the Apple leather cases for my iPhones. Love em. Got the black on my 7 Plus but seeing all these pictures I now want the red and the saddle brown ones!

The saddle brown is the only perfect case I have. I will keep it as I know I will come back to my senses. Just frustrating.

I love the leather. I complain out of love. Haha

what are your thoughts on the midnight blue?

I have the black and the brown leather on my 6 Plus currently so I thought the grey would add a pop of color to the matte black in a professional way

I think its good to change it up. I'ved had red leather since te 5s and so far am naked with the JB. Saddle looks to be the best bet so far. The nomads main advantage is price, but i feel like the buttons go a long way on the apple leather.
