Just a question for everyone that has an Apple Leather case for the iPhone 7/7plus.

Is the fit okay for your case and iPhone? I've had mine for a week and the fit is very loose on the sides and the case seems unsecure. Is this the leather stretching out? Did I get a messed up case?

Mines easy to out on and remove but there's no play in it. It fits snugly. If yours is loose it could be faulty.

Yeah it's not that loose but loose enough that when I hold my phone and case from the sides...there's space and the sides move a little....

Had the silicone black case and now rocking the saddle brown leather. Can't wait for it to start to wear a bit, love the worn leather look.

It shouldn't be like that, where did you buy it? Are you sure it is a genuine one?

The case should fit tight and snug on the iPhone 7 plus, there should be no play at all

I've swapped three times for my 7+ because the lower half was not tight enough. Had varying degrees of play that led to creaking when you grip tightly enough from the sides.

Gave up on it for now and hoping to pick one up again in the next couple of weeks to try my luck again.

Just want to say not all Apple leather cases are the same

I bought a grey plus leather case on day 1 and it has amazing grip and I can see the "veins" of the leather. Very nice look and feel. Fit very tight and not creaking

1 week ago a mate bought the same grey and it horribly smooth. No way if that fell would u be able to catch it. No "veins" just smooth as butter. This one creaks at the bottom. You hear it as you grip the plus in your palms

Im still using the apple black leather case since the day i got my iphone 7 plus and its still incredible, one of the best cases out there with extremely premium feel and build, granted they are not all made equal, which is why i had to exchange twice to get a case that doesn't exhibit problems the first 2 had (uneven side rails and loose fit) but it truly is a great case that keeps the iphone super slim and doesnt add any bulk,

I tried going the cheap route and ordering and using a spigen case the first week i got my iphone 7 plus and i was already used to the apple leather case feel from when i had the iphone 6s and boy was ordering the spigen case a mistake, it feels so cheap compared to the apple leather case, thats why i returned the spigen case right away and went to the apple store and got the black leather case for the iphone 7 plus.

Does anyone have any experience with how the Storm Gray looks over time? I like the color combination with black faced phones but worry the long term wear. The worn look goes well with the Saddle Brown but I am unsure about this particular color.

How long into owning the loose leather cases did you realize that something was wrong?

From the moment I opened the box of the case I noticed that the side rails were uneven so I returned it, the second one they opened for me right then and there at the store was not a tight fitting case for some reason and the volume buttons were not properly aligned on the side, the third one we opened was great and that is the case I'm using now. So they are surely not all made equal and one may certainly exhibit some issues but remember that if you exchange the new one may have worse issues, a buddy of mine also bought the Apple leather case and the power button on his case was reallly misaligned and I told him to exchange it because it shouldn't be like that, I really don't know how these Apple leather cases with the misaligned buttons are passing quality control

I am a big fan of the Apple Leather Cases and this is my Matte Black 7+ with a black one. I do find the new cases more comfortable to hold and doesn't dry out quickly like the 6/6S leather cases.

I went to the Apple Store and exchanged my messed up Black leather 7 plus for a midnight blue. So far day 1...feels good and no wiggle room on the sides. Hopefully this is a good one.

Anyone notice the case has a slightly higher lip on one side then the other?

With a tempered glass, there's not much lip either. Unless it's just mine.

I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and it's wearing in nicely. The lip has darkened a bit because it rubs on my pants when I take the phone out/on. The leather does show scratches but I think it looks good. I don't think the grey will become black but it's definitely darkening every week. Looks great though you won't regret he cope combination.

I'm pretty sure some people did not notice the updated design of the iPhone 7/7 Plus Leather Case. There are now "machined aluminum buttons [that] match the finish of your iPhone case." Looks much better than the full leather case on the iPhone 6/6s. Apple's Leather Case is the most durable and nicest looking case (imo) I have ever used and this is from personal experience. I'm currently using a black iPhone 6 Plus case and have been for over 14 months. Dropped it many times and iPhone sustained no damage. Also what I love most is the microfibre lining on the inside which never scratched the back of my iPhone - 2 years later and the aluminum body is scratch-free apart from one tiny dent in the bottom. I'm glad I ordered this again for my 7 Plus. Just wanted to put this out there for those interested.

Great leather case! I bought the Storm Gray one at the Apple store when I picked up my iPhone 7. The case is durable, looks great and protects the phone.

Should I be worried about getting the case slightly wet? I have a fairly long commute and it involves a good deal of walking where I am exposed to the elements. I've heard conflicting reports about the leather case getting ruined due to slight exposure to rain and it has made me think about getting a silicone case as an option for those wet days.

I generally rock my phone naked, but sometimes I use a case, and when I do, I use either a black or saddle brown apple leather case. When I receive them new, I put some of my Frye leather cream that I have for my Frye boots on them for conditioning and waterproofing. They have always looked great. This year I did one thing different with the saddle brown...I darkened it with coconut oil first, then after it had dried, I put the Frye cream on it.

Any specific coconut oil brand or type I should look for? I think I'm going to go the same route as you with the saddle brown leather case.

I've not had a problem but then the case has had only moderate exposure to rain. Though any water I've seen on it wiped off with no ill effects.
