It's all politics. Toyota manufactures cars in the countries they sell them in to obtain tax breaks and win the favor of the country they sell their cars in. Toyota cars made in America support American jobs and get sold to Americans, a win-win. Likewise, Apple will manufacture iPhones in India for Indian customers to support jobs in India and make the locals happy.
