well they got one more day to get it out before the long thanksgiving vacation.. hopefully they do otherwise its a week of no iTunes update :(

Many places work M,T,W of next week as well. If they delayed this a month to fix bugs and such, I would guess the engineers are being stressed to work as much as they can to get it out ASAP. Thus early next week is still a valid release day.

BUT that being said, releasing it Wednesday wouldn't make sense, something monumental could fail and then people are working Thanksgiving. Monday and Tuesday is OK but I'd bet that they won't release it until after the holiday. 26th the earliest.

people on twitter say the iTunes store is down again? either something is wrong with the server, or they are updating the store for iTunes 11. hmm.

this is like the second day in a row where the iTunes store has gone down.. hmm.. i hope its because they are prepairing for iTunes11!

Working fine in Canada.

Edit: Tried downloading the free song of the week. Won't let me. Hopefully this is a sign of something.

fingers crossed :D my iTunes store is getting slower and slower

I keep needing to close iTunes and reopen to sync media to my iDevices. Has this been an issue with anyone with an iOS 6 device? I never had this problem when I was on iOS 5 but I also moved the same week iOS 6 was released so it could just be a network thing in my new place. Not sure.

apparently it has been down for at least an hour? thats longer than yesterday hopefully it stays down till iTunes 11 comes out! :p

cant buy anything either. let's hope its coming today :D

According to my watch, it's been down since at least 1:15. Unless Apple is having some major technical problems with their iTunes servers, I'd say they're upgrading their servers to work with the new iTunes 11. iCloud syncing and backups seem to work just fine so it's specific to iTunes, not an Apple server problem. Also worth noting, this is a universal problem. Many countries are reporting the same down status.

It would be interesting to know how much money they are losing per second it is down (if you were to assume those people wouldn't return to buy that content).

That's a good point. I've been searching all morning for a Daily Routine building app and finally settled on one. When I clicked to purchase and it didn't work, I had some more time to review the app and now I'm having second thoughts. I'm going to guess that a good portion of purchases are spontaneous ones with people browsing through the app store and iTunes store. When people come back, they may not necessarily come across the song they wanted to hear or the app they wanted to use at that moment.
