It's asking what !!!

Oh no.

From http://www.idownloadblog.com/2016/07/24/pangu-jailbreak-ios-9-2-9-3-3-devices/

"Also worth noting is that some users are reporting that malware seems to be detected on their machines after installing the tool. This is something to keep in mind"
The first time I ran this on my 6S it didn't ask for the Apple ID and I successfully jailbroke the phone. . I messed up my phone and had to restore. This time, Pangu is asking for my ID. I will not give it.

did u download the tool again for the 2nd attempt or is it the original?

anyways... i just created a burner apple id and i'm using it on that step but the thing keeps failing with the 'crying computer' error hehehe.

go ahead, im doing it from a windows 7 vm I keep handy for these things. updated its itunes to the latest today.
if the VM is important to you just fork off a copy of it as these 25pp things are kinda shady :)

Only two people have my Apple ID, my wife and my solicitor as part of my will.

I refuse to have any of my family coming on here to give a big sob story about their relative who died and wanting a way to get passed iCloud only for them to be ridiculed by you lot :)

"Messed up" your phone how ?

Was it the J.B ?

I can see no reason why Pangu would need to know any Apple I.D.

Heck I remember the uneasiness last time when the J.B set up asked for access to the photo library (I think)

Trying to find any benefit to jailbreak my 12.9" iPP.. if a tweak like OS Experience, Multiplexer or Mirmir has been updated to support the recent jailbreak.. I'll definitely give it a try.

I've been jailbreaking for years but not too involved in the processes. Because of that, I'm not too knowledgable in the "25pp" and things of that sort. I rely heavily on some of the posters around here to ensure I don't screw up.

You're not the only one, thankfully there's a whole lot of people here that know more than us, and its friendly as well.

After every reboot? And we know the iPhone reboots on its own at night.
Wonder how stable and reliable that would be.
Not sure if it's worth letting go my stable true untethered jb for this.

I thought the iphone night reboots were fixed in one of the newer versions of iOS 9.x

"You might also be asked to enter your Apple ID and password (this is required to create a developer profile on your device)."

From the set up notes.

Not confident in divulging this on a J.B process !

The software actually recommend the user create a new Apple ID only for creating the profile to jailbreak, it never ask for the real Apple ID. That's clearly displayed in Chinese during the jailbreak process.

can the developer profile be removed after the jailbreak has been completed? I know the app must remain to rejb after each reboot.

I'm planning on a dummy apple id to run the jb, complete it, then remove dev profile.

Not sure, I just made a dummy ID and trying the jailbreak on my spare 5s. However, I personally won't try to remove the profile at this moment. I am still not sure if the "re-jailbreak" require the profile or not.

Also, I recommend everyone cannot read Chinese standby for few more days. The English version is coming. And the jailbreak method this time is so different then the previous one. It's not a good idea to go through the process without knowing the actual info / instruction on the screen. If everything is smooth, then it's fine. However, if something fail, it much much better able to read the details.

e.g. I just have one fail, PP helper fail to download the profile to the 5s. It simply recommend me to re-try after few minutes.

If you can't read this, then you don't know what's happening, and may very be confused, and not sure the iDevice is now in which state, can you disconnect etc.

Does anyone know what all the rest of the options are for on the PP app on PC?

The 5 circle icon from left to right

1) PP Helper
2) Fix crash on start
3) jailbreak
4) clean the system rubbish
5) make ring tone

tested, you cannot remove the profile. Because on the next reboot, you need to re-trust that profile again, otherwise the jailbreak apps won't work.

Roger that makes sense. I guess we are down to the resigning the app every seven days with free apple dev account thing otherwise this is looking pretty good

I have less of a problem leaving the cert if we are signing it with our own account. Still have to trust pangu though yes

I installed a tweak that didn't work so the phone would only work in safe mode. I removed the tweak and it still only worked in safe mode. I then started to remove other things and well, I removed the wrong thing and ruined the JB.

I restored and jailbroke the phone once again but this time, I'm not installing anything for a few days.

Not 100% since I'm still on 9.0.2 but I heard others on 9.3.2 were still complaining about it.
The phone respringing (not rebooting) while jailbroken under 9.0.2 were the reason why I gave up my JB on my 6S+ and restored the phone. Well it turns out the phone still restrings, especially when I go to use Siri. Hopefully now that I am on 9.3.3, that is over with.

Mine actually fully reboots.
In the middle of the night usually.
I see the apple logo and then it turns back on.
Many others have experienced the same on stock is so not sure if Apple fixed this issue with the latest iOS release. Hope they did.
