Now that everybody has gotten their Lifeproof ip5 nuud. Is anybody thinking of getting the ip5s, I hear it will have a dual flash which would make this case useless.
They'll probably just sell a new rear plate. Problem solved...

Anthromatt! So you got the Nuud? How do you like it?

This photo would make a great post for a iPhone pic thread on WA! Great shot!

I should share it over there...good idea!

As for the case, I like it better than the Fre with one exception...the back is totally scratched up and looks bad. Only good thing is that I never put my phone face down, so I don't really see it all that often. Otherwise it works as advertised (I ran my phone under water while in the case a few times after that Color Run) and it is nice being able to still actually touch the screen.

It does look nice. If I understand this case, they placed the front screen protector of the Fre and put it on the back so you can see the iPhone back? And then the front is just the phone's glass. Or maybe it's a sturdier plastic?

Good looking, but I just worry if a pin prick broke the rear screen, as I worry about the front of my Fre...for water leakage. I'd like it better if they used the Fre back.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but 20+ pages is alot to scour through. Does the Nuud work with glass screen shields?

The back is a hard clear plastic, so it would take an effort to crack/break it.

I found the nuud to be as horrible (audio wise) as the fre. But the exposed screen is a nice touch.

The above post pretty much summarizes this 28 page thread. I went through a total of three nuud cases from Best Buy and eventually returned the second replacement for a refund.

Bummer. I'm still using the first one I bought from BestBuy mobile and have zero sound issues.

My sound is fine also. I've never had anyone on the other end of the phone mention anything about bad sound. The case has not affected my everyday use of the phone. Using the speakerphone can cause an echo but its not too bad. I don't play music much without a Bluetooth speaker. It's a waterproof case so obviously the sound is not going to be the same as a naked iphone. Maybe I just got lucky or maybe others are just more particular.

I couldn't make it through any calls without hearing "I can't hear you" to be followed by "now you sound better, like youre right next to me" after removing it from the case. Some have good luck with it i guess.

I never had serious issues with people on the other end not being able to hear me, with a Fre or the Nuud.

One thing I have noticed is that the "range" of the mic seems dimished in the case, which probably shouldn't be a surprise. With no case on the phone it almost doesn't matter how I hold the phone while talking on it. With the Fre or the Nuud I need to ensure the mic is close to my mouth. If it isn't, I will have people say they cannot hear me.

New lifeproof nuud iPhone 5

I had 3 replacements as well and finally ended up calling it quits. My first case was great until 3 weeks in and then no one could hear me. I exchanged it twice after that and both cases failed the water test. I ended up straight up retuning it for a refund. I am thinking about ordering a SPIGEN Tough Armor case from Amazon. It has got awesome reviews and seems to be a very protective case (minus waterproof).

Has anyone noticed just a little bit of give when you press down on the case on the corner where you can insert a coin to pop it off? Just want to make sure that's normal that it has a little give in that area.

original one had this. 2nd one did not.

Exactly. Sound quality was good for a few days and eventually deteriorated. My suggestion is to return them while in the return period. Sound problem may be easily be fixed but this should not be the "case" for something this expensive.

I got the nüüd case as well and prefer this over the Fre. Only thing is I have to get used to the raised borders...a bit of an adjustment for me to type and reach the part of the screen close to the borders. I am using a matte Power Support screen protector with my case and it works just fine.

has anyone noticed markings on the side of their case?

I have markings on both sides near the top edges, and I can feel the bumps when I run my fingers through it.

I have no clue how it got there.
