My phone had the same problem. I was testing it in water for the first time and left it there for 5 minutes. I opened it up and there was some water around the bottom left speaker. Also, later today I wanted to test the fake model again so I left it in the sink for 28 minutes , took it out dryed it completely, opened it up and the entire model got soaked. I will be trading it in, maybe this was just a defective one??? If the next one is the same, ill probably just get the fat otterbox armor:/

I believe the whole idea of Lifeproof water test is that you can exchange it if you received a leaking unit. While they can quality control at the factory maybe they calculate that a 30 min water test is cost prohibitive for each unit. I think it's a smart move to allow an exchange for a leaking unit.

Now if you installed it on your phone without testing, I don't know what to tell you. The instructions are pretty clear about testing first. I got the Nuud for my wife's ipad and my neice's Samsung and they both were water-tight.

The otterbox's bulkiness suggests to me that they went with a design that can allow for loose quality control. They already know people will buy their case only for their reputation. IMO if their case design was released by some unknown brand it wouldn't sell at all.

My call quality with this case renders it pretty much useless for a phone. People can't hear me but as soon as I take the case off they hear me fine. Is there any fix for this or should I see about exchanging it?

Make sure that the membrane for the mic didn't get folded down or shift when you inserted the phone. Try putting the phone in bottom first at a slight angle to seat it on that gasket. Where did you get the case from?

After a few weeks, my co-worker's nuud case is still holding up. Call quality has been perfect so far on both ends and audio coming out of the speakers is pretty good. It's far better than the audio coming out of my Incipio Atlas case and slightly softer than audio coming out of a Otterbox Armor case.

Unfortunately the back portion of the nuud case is getting scratches where the Armor and Atlas are scratch free.

Better the case than the phone huh?

Is it the white case with the clear back? The smoked back on my black one is holding up pretty well so far.

My co-worker has the smoked version of the nuud. It's not a big deal to me either but again there's some out there that can't handle having a scratch or two on their cases.

Yeah I have the smoked one too and it is scratched like crazy but I don't care...it's the back of my phone. I never see the back of my phone for more than a second or two every day.

I've had my Nuud for a week now. All my calls have had perfect on both ends. I have yet to find a flaw with this case. Had both the Fre and Atlas. The Atlas had the worst call quality by far. I noticed since I installed iOS 7 beta 5 today, that it is really hard to get the control Center by swiping up. Had no issues with beta 4. Time will tell.

ill try that, i bought it at best buy mobile.

New Belt Clip for Nuud iPhone 5 case

OK, so I got annoyed enough with the belt clip that I ran out to best buy and bought a new one. I'll probably just give the new one that lifeproof sends to replace my old one to my wife.

Here are a couple of pics. The first one is showing what happened when I put the nuud case in my old belt clip... the clip just doesn't come down enough to hold the phone in. You can push it down and it gets a bit better, but it won't stay all the way down and it's easy to pull the phone out.

The second pic shows the two clips next to each other. The difference is at the bottom. The new one is on the right and the old on the left.

Do you have any idea if the case fits in the clip with the headphone jack cover open? I have the old case like you and it doesn't work. I want to use my plug in headphones with the belt clip.

It withstood some real hard hitting waves. Kinda wish the case came with a leash or wrist strap. I had my phone in a death grip the entire time.

My only problem with this case is the call sound. Sometime the ear piece is muffled or vibrates really bad. Vibration is really bad when playing music or speakerphone

Unfortunately those fixes did not work. Call quality is still very poor if they can hear me at all. Filed a warranty claim but who knows if that will do any good.

Turns out the replacement I got was bad again. I tried calling my friend and they said I sounded like I was in a tunnel. Turns out when I opened the case, the black seal moved from the waterproof seal for the speaker on the bottom (it was blocking the sound). Looks like a return to BB!

Anyone ever told you that you have an uncanny resemblance to Andrew Lincoln from The Walking Dead..?!!!!!!!

I saw a few people have been experiencing "tunnel" sounds. Is that from the pad next the microphone sliding? I bought my case at Best Buy, had no problems from day 1 and then this week everyone started to complain I sound like I'm in a tunnel. I'm going to exchange it tomorrow and see what happens.

A friend of mine is having the same issue.
