I have a new 24" iMac (8/8 16GB 2TB) with the extended keyboard (has number pad). I have noticed very often my keyboard is very laggy. I will type in a sentence, like this sentence, and the letters don't show up right away on the screen. I don't have much open and lots of free memory. CPU usage is low also. It is very annoying. Has anyone else experience keyboard lag with their new M1 iMac?

Wow it sounds like you had much worse problems that I did. Have you tried to get an appointment at a local store so they can look at it? When I had an issue with my Air Pods, I called Apple tech support and asked for an appointment at the local Apple Store and they set that up. When I took the Air Pods in to the store they did some testing and found that they were defective. I left the store with a new pair.

By the way, the problem I was having with my key board just went away after a while (it might have been an upgrade to newer OS that fixed it, I don't know). Good luck with your MacBook Pro. Hope you are able to get it resolved.

I've always had this problem with my M1 iMac and I just leave my keyboard and trackpad plugged in all the time. sucks to lose two of the limited ports on the computer but I'd rather have a keyboard and mouse that work consistently.

Everyday my keyboard not responding well I can't type it's very slow and laggy.
I found a fix go on bluetooth disconnect the magic mouse and reconnect after that my keyboard just work perfectly until the next day but it's quick to fix! I really hate bluetooth technologie always problem...;
