Exactly what I recalled. So seeing they made both of these optional (at $29!), they've actually sort of INCREASED the price? My MBA bought in August, came with the micro-DVI to VGA adapter, and micro-DVI to Video Output adapter
It appears they did, lists it as a SATA drive in the store. I was interested in trying to stick a 128GB SSD in my 1st rev. Air but if that's SATA now too, that's not going to happen...
My MBA bought in August, came with the micro-DVI to VGA adapter, and micro-DVI to Video Output adapter; I purchased the Ethernet adapter and I already had a remote...
Grr. I bought mine in February, and it did not have the adaptor.
My flatmate came in and pointed at my Air, and suggested it was 'old-technology' and 'out-dated' now
I simply picked her up, gave her a hug and whilst lovingly stroking her sleek aluminium exterior, exclaimed 'Frak off, She's an ORIGINAL!!!!'
(After all its like having a first edition hardback from your favourite author). Noone will push my MBA around - she's fine (I mean after all if I wanted to buy a gaming notebook, I would not have bought her in the first place.
< I hope these words of comfort will warm my fellow Original MBA owners in the light of todays news >
(yes that means while I do like the NVidia 9400M - its no biggie for me )
Glad to see the improvements, but it is surprising that the Air did not get the Glass Trackpad or the newer black screen bezel. When you click the "Mac" tab on Apple.com, the Macbook Air now sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the line.
I imagine it will, but the parts were needed for the Macbook right now. Actually I am glad it didn't in a way, because now I have less of a reason to want an upgrade yet.
It really needs a 3g option, and Apple needs to figure out how to get better battery life out of it (another hour or two would be a nice sweet spot). In due time I guess.
