yeah, the current 2.33 model w/ 2GB is perfect for me. i'll be goin to the art institute of pittsburgh with "clinto" majoring in photography so i might even wait to get the 2.33 model discounted and spend the rest on stuff i need like external HD's, food, etc.

I love how you lump food in after the laptop and the external hard drive. :p :D

:apple:

Im in the same boat, you guys may have talked me into buying tomorrow...

I would strongly suggest against it... It's only 6 days more of a wait until WWDC. It's not that new HARDWARE will come out, but new SOFTWARE (i.e., iLife or a coupon for Leopard). To me, if something as big as WWDC is coming up within a week, it'd be pretty stupid to jump the gun. It's only 6 more freakin' days.

alright, well my question is, if i wait 6 more days for WWDC, will the MBP's be sold out? and if so, how long will i wait to get mine?

That's been what's bugging me too, and when I ask on these forums, people will say emphatically that there is no delay and they won't be sold out ("this is a major company, not some mom and pop ebay store" as one poster put it), or on the other end other people say you could have to wait 3-4 weeks. But in my opinion, if you have to wait 3-4 weeks just from waiting for 6 days, you woulda had to wait a long time anyway even if you order tomorrow.

Of course, if you're fine with the default configuration, you could just go to an Apple store and pick one up as opposed to ordering online.

hmm...I think I'll just order tomorrow. I think you'll have to wait either way, but it'll probably be 3-4 weeks MORE if they're sold out

I don't think that much will be shown at WWDC, you guys have to remember that it stands for Worldwide Developers Confrence. The main focus will be leopard and I think some type of iPhone development tools, is very likely.

But, then again the Mac Pro was announced at last years event. Apple may use this event to showcase new hardware, its just too hard tell.

WWDC has been used to launch products in the past. Hell, iSight was launched at WWDC! Besides: Developers use computers, do they not? And they are more interested in Pro-computers than consumer-models, are they not? So why SHOULDN'T they announce new hardware at WWDC?
