What voltage do you get?
Is it lowering frequency when idle?
Idle. Now how do I uninstall CoolBook? It is making my computer really slow!

I hate you all.

Don't even ask about full load.

The app I've been using to check my temp is CoreDuoTemp.
The max temp I've hit is 55C under load on my 2.16GHz C2D.
Lumineux
Many people have reported strange temps with core duo temp.
Could always do the temperature check the old-fashioned way. Put your fingers on the metal area of the keyboad above the function keys. On the A Rev MacBook Pros I used, that area would get hot enough to cause everyone I saw touch it to pull their hand back right away. Many people have reported strange temps with core duo temp.
No, I don't think it's coolbook making your computer slow. But it did verify your problem. Try to find out which application is slowing the system down using top or activity monitor.
An idle system should only run around 1GHz / 0.9500V 50°C, so yes you got some major issues.
Yeah, my voltage is wayy to high. As for Cool book, I moved the .kext to the trash, restarted, and viola, it was fast again.
Have you tried rmclock? I undervolt my MacBook when playing games.
i am new to this tool. How do you use it? what would be a good setting for CS Source and HL2 (which run at highest quality by default).
