Recommendations is mandatory. Top 100 gets old quick and New Releases; does anyone watch those films? I feel the marketing strength of Netflix is hugely dependent on their predictive technology!

You've convinced me. I'll put it in there somehow. It would take me all of 5 minutes--if I could just eliminate one of the others. The problem is, I don't like removing features in subsequent releases, so I need to write a whole complicated procedure for how the user will choose which buttons to display.

I'd say ditch Top 100 if you get rid of something. The new releases is still useful, as you can browse and see what just came out on DVD (even if most of it is crap or whatever.)

Maybe someone could explain the 'At Home' because right now I don't appreciate why it's needed. I can see physical red Netflix envelopes a lot better than having to click this button. Perhaps its because I only get three at a time but not so hard to keep track of.

I dunno, I figured it would be helpful for people who lose track of the DVD's, then need to find them later to return them.

That said, the UI of At Home needs the most work, so ditching it would kill two birds with one stone.

Ultimately, I appreciate your participation in this forum and your willingness to listen. You've done an excellent job on this app and it will be complete for me when Recommendations is functional.

Hey All. This is just a bump to let everyone know that the latest version of iFlix has been released.

This version includes ratings on the details page of each movie, as well as bug fixes for the problem where it would crash if you had an empty queue, and a fix so you can add a movie from the details screen (previously it pretended like it would, but then didn't).

Also, I fixed the buggy animations, and added some new ones that I hope you like.

EDIT: New version is out:

Awsome update! This is a killer app if you have NetFlix. Good job! And I like the new flip animations. It was worth the wait. ;)

Yeah I really like at home to please don't kill it.

I've decided to keep it around. It really needs to become a UISectionList though--instead of the cheap hacky way it is currently implemented. I actually fixed At Home in this release so it displays what is in the mail correctly (I'm sure many of you noticed that it was wrong previously). I broke down and signed up for netflix so I could get it right.

I love the concept of iFlix, and was wondering if you'd be interested in making a iPhone tool for a similar service, Gameznflix.com. I am a subscriber there, and I'm liking them. I appreciate that I can rent movies or games on the same account. http://www.gameznflix.com/
About the only thing I don't like, is the lack of cool tools like iFlix! :D

Anyway, thanks for the consideration and keep up the great work.

Do they have rss?

New version of iFlix is out on installer, fixes search, adds search descriptions in details view, adds browse feature. Full release notes are on the google code page. Merry Christmas!

so far, loving the improvements! Thought I'd let you know there's another pleased user out there. If I encounter any bugs, will be sure to let you know but so far it looks flawless. Merry Christmas!

Everything works great, love it. I do have one issue though. If I click the "for you" button, it crashes the program. Am I the only one with this problem?

Thanks for this wonderful app.

My suggestion is that you add a "move to the top of my queue" button.

Running it with 1.1.2.

Hi, thanks for iFlix, I love it so far!

I just got Parallels running on my mac mini, so I can now finally use the Watch Now features of Netflix (not a huge selection, but enough to be worthwhile, especially at the moment with nothing on TV!). Is it possible to search the Watch Now list via iFlix, or maybe mark on your queue which ones are also available by this method? Apologies if something like this is already there, maybe I've just been ignoring it all this time!

That will happen only if "For You" is empty (and hence useless anyway)--meaning netflix has no recommendations for you.

It will be fixed in the next version.

Having trouble with iFlix

I am having trouble just getting the program to start. I open the program, and when it asks me for the account info, it goes back to the iPhone's home page. Do you have any ideas on how to get it to work? Thanks.

I assume you have 1.1.3. If so, the new version 0.9.9 should fix the problem. It will be on installer soon.
