I am having trouble just getting the program to start. I open the program, and when it asks me for the account info, it goes back to the iPhone's home page. Do you have any ideas on how to get it to work? Thanks.

Having the same problem. I installed the previous version on 1.1.3 and got it to work using some command line/permissions voodoo, but since upgrading to the most recent version (0.9.9b), my saved accounts are gone, and trying to save new login info crashes the app. I've uninstalled and tried to wipe all traces of the old version before reinstalling, but that doesn't seem to help.

Same Here, I did the chmod 775 to the iflix app and everything worked. Then I ran the update today and now it crashes when I try to save my username/pw. Does anyone know if a clean install of 0.9.9b works? is it crashing because of the chmod of the previous version? I tried emailing Brent Jensen(iflix creator) since I just get a 404 error when i try to go to the googlecode page for iflix.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm the same way... love the app, but updated to 9.9b and now it just bombs and goes back to the home screen. I checked the permissions and everything looks fine. Weird.

I'm on 1.1.3

Anyone else having problems logging in?

Hey guys, since no one can get a hold of Brent to get a fix on this, I have temporarily uploaded a copy of the old iFlix here. Get it while you can.

Just remember to change permissions to 755 on the iFlix file inside of the iFlix app and everything should work like it used to.

Sweet, thanks! For some reason, I found I needed to set permissions on the preferences folder as well:
chmod 777 /Library/Preferences
On top of that, I need to make two identical accounts for the settings to stick. Otherwise, I get a login error when I restart the app. But if I have two accounts set up with the same login info, both take me to my queue. Weird, but at least it's working.

Just got this from iFlix creator Brent Jensen...
"Sorry about that, it was a thoughtless mistake on my part. Somehow, a change I made to increase compatibility between different firmware versions made it so iFlix was forgetting where to save accounts before it actually saved them. Brent"
So, at least he knows about the problem. I can only guess, but I think we'll be seeing another update soon.

Registered to let you guys know how to fix this.
0.99 is trying to access the prefs file at: /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.biosfire.iFlix.Accounts

Copy your old prefs file to this location and you can successfully use the 0.99 version as the mobile user.

The problem is, I deleted the previous prefs..

can I just create an emtpy file and have it work?

Update: yes, that worked... I created an empty file and named it com.biosfire.iFlix.Accounts. I then launched iFlix and now I can add an account and login. everything is good.. :)

-and, what is going on with the iflix site at code.goole? I get unauthorised errors.. :-(

Update2: now it doesn't work anymore... I tried doing it again now with no effect. must have been a fluke. :-(

Creating com.biosfire.iFlix.Accounts (as root:mobile with 664 permissions) didn't work for me with 1.1.3...still crashes back to Springboard after entering account info. Someone else posted in another forum that iFlix is trying to access a method that no longer exists in 1.1.3, in which case no file system fix is going to work. If I launch it from SSH as root it crashes with a bus error as soon as I try to save the account info.

If you install the old version(Remember to CHMOD to 775) , sign on to your account once, you will be able to SSH onto you phone and copy the file "com.biosfire.iFlix.Accounts" from var/root/library/preferences/
over to var/mobile/library/preferences/
If you do that, it should work.

I spent about an hour yesterday searching for an older version on the web but can't find one. The google code page for the app is inaccessible, as is the link posted above by TitoC.

Can you create a dummy account with an invalid username/password and make the resulting prefs file available?

Hi there, I'm having a very hard time trying to install this app on my iphone from XP. I downloaded the DMG file. Tried to converted it to ISO but didn't work. Any other way to install it on my phone? Thanks a lot.

I know! I was REALLY looking forward to this coming to the App Store. I'm guessing it would be a legal issue with Netflix, but I can honestly say - it was one app I used on a regular basis!

Looking for to it soon hopefully! :)
