It looks like they have just captured the funds on my CC, so not much longer!

Lucky you. :D
Mine is schedule to arrive the 27th, and I leave the morning of the 28th for 2 week business trip to China. Maybe I should check out that thread on carrying cases!

Short one enclosure for how I want to set up external storage in the long run. Have a temp solution figured out....but more waiting:(

So according to the Order Status Spreadsheet, it looks like many orders from December have been moved to "Preparing for Shipment"... Hoping my order from 1/1/2014 will be shipped out in the next couple of days. My apple/store status still says "Processing" and "Available to ship in February".

Mine still processing, ordered On my way! the 19th December #

No shipping notice, but, on a whim, I checked with my business checking account online and *SQUEEEEE!* it's been charged. Now it's only a matter of a day or two before it's shipped (crosses fingers). Maybe this Mac Pro is a real thing and not just a figment of my imagination after all.

Me too. I was thinking the same thing, seeing not any January CTO orders filled yet. I'm a Jan 6th order. The funds are captured from my CC Friday, but no line item has shown up, and still processing status. Hoping i get a preparing for shipment status in the next 48 hrs.

Ordered December 30th (6core - 256 - 16gb - D700) and just had my CC charged, though it still says processing hopefully it will ship in the next few days.

Yup. Cards been probed but not charged.

edit: from the spreadsheet it looks like the holdup might indeed be the 512gb drive.

Nice, mine just switch to preparing for shipment a few hours after the CC activity. We'll see how long it takes them to get me a tracking number now.

Ordered December 20 (morning): 8 / 32GB / 1TB / D500

Preparing for shipment February 23
Shipped: February 24 (so far it gone from Austin > Waco > Mesquite)
Est. Arrival: February 27

BTW, it's great the nMP is arriving this week. Beginning Sunday night the midwest is going to get slammed with a monster winter storm.

Congrats... but Wow!... it took 2 months to clear the first day's worth of orders?!?!

I can't say it was unexpected. When I ordered it at 10am on the 20th I was immediately quoted a "Ships by February" timeframe.

At least it's making progress...when I checked this morning I can see it made it to Earth City, Missouri around 1am. At 3am they put it on the next truck. It'll make to it Indiana today (where I live), but probably not in time for sorting and delivery.

I ordered 12core/D700s/1TB-Flash/64GB-RAM on Dec 21st. It is now in transit to my local Apple Store for me to pickup on Feb 24th. I decided to have it shipped to my local Apple Store rather than my doorstep for security reasons... :)

My CC showed Pending charges on Feb 11th. Then the Pending charge disappeared for a few days and then on Feb 20th the charge showed up and my CC was invoiced.

I want to make sure my AppleCare+ begins on Feb 24 and not the date when the Mac was shipped. AppleCare said all I had to do was to mention this when picking up the Mac at the Apple Store and they would make it so.

My CC showed Pending charges on Feb 21st. Then the Pending charges disappeared this morning. Its gonna be tough to make the February delivery at this pace. If I'm lucky it will be shipped Feb 28, and arrive the first week of March.

Would be nice to see my status change from Processing.... :(

WOOHOO!!!!! Happily I am wrong. UPS tracking said the machine made it to Indianapolis at 8:35am and it's out for delivery TODAY - a day earlier than originally scheduled :D

Good thing I work from home. I'm going to be staring out of the window all day!

As a sidebar, I remember when my MP 3,1 arrived in that gigantic box late in the afternoon. My wife and I were outside on an unseasonably warm day in March watching the kiddos play when the ole brown UPS truck rolled up. The guy hopped out, said "hi" and then opened the back door of the truck. Even the UPS guy knew what I was getting. As he slid the box to the tailgate he was like, "Isn't this the new Mac Pro? I've delivered a couple of these in the last few days. This is the heaviest computer I've ever delivered. Well, I bet it's awesome. Enjoy!" And off he went.

I guess the next thing to do is get everything all set up and take a picture and put it in the nMP set up thread ;)

Jan Order- nMP cc processing

Also one of the Jan orders 6c/1tb/D55/16mb.

Ordered January 16, waiting to see if processing status from Apple changes.

I'm in the same boat, they seem to reserved my funds about 3 days ago and now it's back to normal.

Still says Feb dispatch so hopefully in the next 2 days :)

The funds are pending on my 8core,32,512,D500. Ordered Dec 23... Status says ships in feb...not too much longer grrrrrrrr. Excited and annoyed:D:mad:

Yes! Got hit with a temp auth yesterday.
Ordered 1/1/14
6|12gb|1Tb|d300

Cancelled my 4gb of extra ram at Apple, cause a guy on ebay, just sold me his for $35...noice!

Ordered 8-cores, D700s, 16GB RAM, 1 TB PCIe Flash on 12/30/2013… just now received the shipping notice from Apple.

It is not Apple that removes the reserved funds, it is your bank's policy that controls how long (number of days) your account can be held. Each banks is different I am lead to believe. Mine did the same thing. Reserved and then disappeared.

Best bet is to check you apple store account to see when the config is locked down and can't be altered. In my case the lock and the shipping occurred on the same day. Other posts I have read mention about 24 hours approx.
