has anyone got the New Siri up and running yet?

I’m on the waiting list, and it was indexing but it appears to have stopped.

I got off the wait list yesterday. Question on use. You can pull up the type to Siri with the old spotlight shortcut - cmd-space. When you type something into the window, you can either trigger spotlight search or Siri. It seems to try to figure out whether you want spotlight or Siri query based on the terms. Does anyone know how to force - maybe through keyboard shortcuts - getting either spotlight search and/or Siri query results?

Waiting over! Nu & Improved Siri has appeared on my iPad. US Settings but Englis UKh Voice, at somepoint changed back to US English and appeared late Friday afternoon. Changed back to UK English voice and all good.

When using the new Siri, the bubble pops up and then expands a bit as Siri reads the answer to your query. What I find annoying is that you have to dismiss the pop up manually. It doesn’t disappear once you have your answer. When using the magic keyboard that is particularly annoying as it is a bit difficult to dismiss using the trackpad.

Did anyone else NOT get an indexing message? I installed on my M4 iPP and it doesn't say anything about indexing in my Settings app.

I’ve had the indexing in progress on my iPad since Tuesday morning

And this much storage used up, no new Siri AI, I’m still waitlisted

Interesting. Yep, no indexing notification at all for me. The only thing that was there was my information that I censored.

Does anyone know if *every* iOS/MacOS device will have to index separately or will it share the vector weights for items on iCloud?

I recently replaced my iPP and there isn't much on the device itself; however, I have over a TB of data on iCloud so I'm not too surprised it is taking days to index. If/when I update my old iPhone 12 it is going to take months if it has to re-process all the same data!

I’m guessing new Siri is downloading as that’s too small

I found this

Yes, your iPhone will index completely independently of your iPad, even if they are both logged into the same iCloud account and running the same software version.

Because Apple prioritizes user privacy and data security, indexing happens entirely "on-device."
